We brought the grandkids to enjoy an authentic slice of Florida. The gardens are well-maintained and luxuriously planted. Be aware that there are alligators, esopecially in and near the lake. The person at the entry booth alerted us to the location of the momma gator...More

Our visit to this garden was a bit of a disappointment. I was surprised at the poor condition of many of the planting areas. It was easy to see that they were understaffed. Many of the beds were in poor condition. Many trees and plants...More

We drove up to the Kanapaha Botanical Garden for a wildflower and plant festival. Although the entire grounds were covered with vendors of various sorts, it was still beautiful and we enjoyed it very much. Will plan to go back when they don't have their...More

The botanical garden has the largest collection of bamboo in the state. The trails are concrete and easy to walk through the different gardens. The property is well maintained and looks like it would ever changing throughout the year.

Enjoyed this garden very much. It was a cool.morning but warmed up nicely. Upon arriving we weren't sure how big the park was but we spent about 2 hours walking around. Very nice paths. It's easy to follow the route so you don't miss anything....More

Kanapaha has beautiful display gardens, from natives to exotics; succulents to water lillies; and spectacular bamboo selections. The walking trails are so relaxing. I would recommend a stop here for any plant lovers.

It was a lovely walk through Northern Florida. The spanish moss was hangling and the azaleas were blooming. I think they had flood damage from hurricane so are still recovering. Wonderful children's area. I loved it. So fun.

Even in the dead of winter, February 2018, these beautiful gardens were still worth the admission price. The blooms were not present but you could appreciate the two distinct walking paths, one 1 mile long and the other .5 mile long. Each with it's own...More

Being a bit of a plant nerd, I was thrilled with the variety of plants, the scenery, the display gardens - especially the herb and knot gardens! - and the wonderful paths to travel. This is a well maintained, but not fussy, garden with a...More

I would say April is the best time to visit the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. It has been cold and except for azaleas, our flowers are not in bloom.

Yes, on a leash. We take our dog each time we go. We always take a bag in case she poops, and we watch for alligators near the water. It is a great place to walk dogs!
