We visited the area in January (and ended up by a condo!). While we were here in January we heard about Bowditch, along with a handful of other local beaches (including Little Hickory, Lover's Key and the Sanibel/Capitva beaches). We decided to tackle Bowditch first due to its proximity to where we stayed. It was a great walk, the scenery... More

We took some time to walk down the beach to Bowditch Point Park. We went close to sunset and the view was beautiful. Walking through the park was nice and peaceful way to finish the day.

The title says it all. Really. Not too big, not to small. It was there, basking in the sun, end of story.

We love this park and visit nearly everyday on our annual Fort Myers vacation. Only issue is there is not enough parking and we often have to wait an extended period of time to get a spot. Also, the facilities are a cruise from the beach itself but it is very worth it for a more private and quite FMB... More

This time we didn't have to fight for a parking spot even though Ft. Myers Beach was "Spring Break" heaven. (No T-shirt places here.) Got here around 6:00 pm. We sat at a park bench along the waterway leading from Ft. Myers beach to the gulf. There weren't as many boats as we expected, but the shady spot was welcome... More

Stayed in fort Myers for a few days. Went to Sanibel & Captive islands first two days. Went here third day. This beach has a finer sand then the others. You can park at the beach if early , $2 per hour or use public transit in. We shuttled down to the time square retail area first. Even with spring... More

This is a lovely White Sand Beach. It is at the northern tip of Estero Island, and so there is water on three sides. You can see Sanibel Island and the Fort Myers Causeway across the water. The Boardwalk takes you straight from the Parking Lot to a beautiful wide stretch of the Beach. Along the way, there are lots... More

Pristine beaches and well-maintained trails provide the perfect place to spend the whole day or just part of it. Lots of birds as well as gopher tortoises. Can walk on the beach around the point or take the lovely trails. Nice shades picnic spots and clean restrooms.
