Great place for a walk after dinner. We were there on a chilly January 3 afternoon. So no bugs to speak of and not much wildlife either due to the unseasonably cold temps this week.Boardwalk was neat, clean and free from overgrowth. The trails could have been marked a...More

A surprising find on Fort Myers Beach. It really offers some solitude on an otherwise chaotic island. They do have nice lanai with benches at the end of the trail. I would bring bug spray. Currently, they do have some damage from Hurricane Irma, but...More

My wife and I called here for a morning walk. It's a nice place with some great spots to see the local wildlife. We both got some nice photos and had a really good time. It's not all boardwalk and there are places where the...More

The preserve is one block from our rental and we often walk along its paths to the fishing dock. It is beautiful and peaceful.

Mostly mangrove trees so majority is shaded. The few intersecting trails are well marked. This park is on bay side and part of trail leads to shelter at water's edge.

Took friends to see this mid-island park. It is easy to get to by car or bike. They have well-marked trails along the way. It is about 1.2 miles walking if you do all the trails. All sort of plant and animal life throughout. This...More

If you need a break from the sand, take a walk through mangroves. We went mid morning, still sunny but also some shady parts to the walk. We went into the information center and nice lady gave us some additional information about the area.

Have done all the trails twice and have not seen any animals except birds, little lizards, and one raccoon. Hope that helps.
