Trail includes boardwalk for wheel chair accessibility. Free to use and it provides an observation of flora and fauna. Trail takes hiker to a observation deck for viewing and fishing on Estero Bay. Easy walk of about 2 miles.

Make a stop by the Matanzas Pass Preserve. A boardwalk makes walking back to the observation area easy; there, you'll be able to see Estero Bay. We weren't able to take the ground path back to other places, as it had rained the night before...More

Very informative guide. Some trails were closed. The one we took was short but took us to the golf with a great view of the boats.

A lovely evening moonwalk through the Matanzas Pass Preserve. Lead by a knowledgeable guide, our small group saw the moon rise from a charming gazebo over the bay waters. Magical.

Mostly shaded raised deck paths through mangroves, lots of crabs and lizards, we didn’t see many birds. Covered seating on the bay st on end of trail. It’s pretty warm even in the shade until you get out of the trees.

Have done all the trails twice and have not seen any animals except birds, little lizards, and one raccoon. Hope that helps.
