Mostly mangrove trees so majority is shaded. The few intersecting trails are well marked. This park is on bay side and part of trail leads to shelter at water's edge.

If you need a break from the sand, take a walk through mangroves. We went mid morning, still sunny but also some shady parts to the walk. We went into the information center and nice lady gave us some additional information about the area.

Had lunch and dinner here during our visit to Ft. Myers Beach. Great view of the inlet, boats, and the bridge to the beach. Wait staff seemed to be a little overwhelmed or under trained during both visits.

Took a nice walk for about a half hour to 45 minutes in the Preserve. Lots of birds chirping, but we couldn't easily find them. The walk along the path provided leads to the water. Interesting root systems around the base of the trees there...More
