Great locale for cocktail party/ dinner event or historical tour. The house alone is worth the visit. But so is the back yard and river. Our night was a benefit even and 250 participants didn’t overwhelm the place.

Built in 1901, The Burroughs House is one of the very few remaining houses of that era left standing on the Caloosahatchee River. Our tour guide Pat did a great job telling us about the history and the family.

A pretty home , with lots of porch. A little hard to get to. Fort Myers has one way streets down town. This home is not mention in the AAA maps or book. The Burroughs were friends with the Firestones, Edisons and Fords.

Walked through both homes which were decorated for Christmas . Have wanted to see inside these homes for several years, and wasn’t disappointed. Staff very informative of the history of both homes!
