We enjoyed the walk, nice shady well maintained boardwalks and viewing stations make this a nice easy walk for everyone. Can do a small loop or go a little further onto a second loop if you prefer a longer walk. Mostly we saw birds and enjoyed the vegetation and views. One alligator visible quite a distance away, a few turtles,... More

On a raised Boardwalk, you can wander through the slough (slew) - with or without a volunteer nature guide. Birds aplenty. Also snakes, turtles, and maybe a gator siting! A must stop and visit for an hour or two! 👀

My husband and I did this walk in vacation last spring. Enjoyed every moment of the walk through the slough. Seen a few kingfishers and heard many other birds without sighting them the walk can be made quite easily by young or old. This is Something you consider to do if you find yourself in Fort Myers and love nature.... More

Informative, relaxing, refreshing, & delightful. Check it out with our little ones. There are birds, wild pigs, gators, and amazing night creatures if you can make a night trip!

Great little spot for seeing some local flora and fauna. The boardwalk through the slough is pretty cool and lots of activity for the birder. If you have more time you should go to Corkscrew.

We thoroughly enjoyed this nature walk. You are on a raised wooden boardwalk so you can see alligators, turtles and snakes up close but are safe and you don't get dirty. Mostly shaded so you don't bake in the sun; good way to beat the heat. Takes about an hour to enjoy it fully but you can cut off early... More

Wonderful, peaceful place to walk and be surrounded by wildlife in their natural habitat. Be sure to bring your camera because you don't know what type of critter you will see. Be careful of the snakes!

Offers great sights of the Florida wildlife. We saw 2 alligators up close as well s a number of other creatures. The park is free aside from parking (which is only a couple of dollars). It's a great alternative destination for anyone in the Fort Myers area.

Every time I went, I got to see different and wonderful wildlife. Alligators love the sun and bask in the afternoon. Birds come in to roost at dusk, what a beautiful sight.

We happened upon this preserve on a Saturday morning, enroute to the shopping mall. If you are spending any time in the Ft Myers area, this is a great spot to stop. We needed a walk, and this was awesome!! Self guiding brochures are very helpful as you walk along the boardwalk. Very peaceful, and lovely, the visitor center was... More
