Every year when we come down to the area for the month of January, we make sure to visit Six Mile Cypress Slough. We never fail to be amazed by the wildlife, and the boardwalk makes the trip through the swamp a most enjoyable experience....More

There is a parking pass you have to buy and display on your car’s dash. We decided to pay for two hours and it was a good choice for time. The visitor center was closed for renovations which was a disappointment. That’s usually a great...More

Is it possible to borrow a wheelchair for a couple hours for my husband who walks with a cane, but with difficulty? We plan to visit January 24. We'd love to do the 1:30 guided nature walk, but I'd be afraid he couldn't keep up with the walking.
