I've been coming here for eight years and it never gets old. Great for all ages, especially families with children. Their are two parks, a climbing wall, a train ride, an ice-cream shop with Royal Scoop homemade choices, two splash pads ages 2-9, botanic gardens, paddle boat rides, kayaks, two-four person bike rentals and miles of scenic trails that go... My husband & I discovered this park yesterday and went back again today. The park is very child friendly but seniors are welcome to join the fun and ride on the tiny train that makes a short loop around the park. Today we were lucky enough to find a volunteer (actually he found us) with a golf cart who gave... More

You would hardly know that this place is here, right in the heart of the city. It is at the NW corner of Gladiolus & US41, with the access off of Gladiolus. There is no entry fee but it is $1/hr or $5/day to park your car. As the name suggests, there is a large lake in the middle of... More

Lots to do here, parks, water pads boat and bike rentals, special events, a small train ride, ice cream, wildlife, trails... there is a parking fee, if you do not have a sticker. Fun place to spend the day with the children or just walking or running the trails. Castle minigolf is right next-door.

We enjoy exploring natural sites of beauty within our local area and we tried Lakes Park this trip. We were pleasantly surprised at the many lakes teeming with a large variety of birds and animals, a beach, a playground, and many trails for walking or biking on. What made the park exceptional were the paddle boats and kayaks that were... More

My understanding is that this park used to be some type of quarry that was filled-in with water and now provides a wonderful haven for birds, fish, butterflies and yes, humans!! You can walk the trails, fish, go on little boats, go bicycling or get wet under water games. Bring a pic-nic there are plenty of tables. There is also... More

This is a very clean park with lots to see. You pay to park $1/hour or $5 for the day (there are machines that take the fee and give a receipt). First we rented a surrey (a small cart with bicycle pedals for all). They provide a map and you can pedal around to your leisure. We rented the 6-person... More
