Party in the streets. It was St. Patrick's Day in the streets of Ft Meyers. The restaurants were full, but they set-up tables and grills in the streets. Lots of people in Hats, and other green attire.

Walked all around this area and enjoyed the river, architecture and sculptures. Plenty of restaurants to grab a bite to eat or just sit and have a beer. Cute shops to get your souvenir!

A Pleasant atmosphere to stroll about, experience art shows, entertainment, and festivals, and parades (downtown often blocked off so good to plan ahead). On the west side of town, Monroe and First Street, is a parking ramp often able to find parking there. Other nearby attractions are the Edison Ford Estates and the Butterfly House or stroll the Yacht basin... More

Great place to have a meal and a drink indoors or out at a table on the sidewalk. River park close by and nice for an evening stroll.

Was there early in the day had a chance to walk throughout the downtown area . Lots of restaurants quaint little shops appears to be an artist cooperative also where various artist display and sell their wares. Appears o be lots of parking off the main drag.

The River District has great dining options, owner operated retail, art and hole in the wall uncommon finds. Great day for family walking, dining and shopping. There is a great historic walking tour and the river is beautiful.

This past Saturday night I was in downtown Fort Myers, the river district, for bike night. They said there would be 1000s of motorcycles and I don't think that was any exaggeration. In addition to motorcycles, I think I saw as many people downtown that night as I ever have, and I live less than a mile away from the... More

The River District in downtown Fort Myers should be on your list for "places to eat"! Lots of choices, festivals and entertainment. Reservations available at some locations, but with all the street festivals, you can get on a list and then enjoy the area and activities while you wait for your table!

Walking along the water is very relaxing. As you venture off the river you enter the down town area where there are great shops to peek around and wonderful restaurants. There is so much to choose from you will have to go back a few time until you try it all.

So much to do. So many great restaurants. Endless entertainment!!! Festivals all the time. Parking can be stressful, though. Best to plan ahead.
