We were on our way to the beach and we just happened to travel down this road. Come to find out it was a top attraction! I can see why. Gorgeous.

Way too much traffic 24 hours a day especially during the tourist season! I believe if you can't see over the steering wheel you should not have a license!

My favorite part of my trips to Fort Myers end with me driving down this street. I should go further down I75 and take Daniels home but I don't just so I can drive that street again.

This wide Street runs alongside the River. There are very few lights on the road, and even though the Speed Limit is only 35 miles per hour, the traffic is not much, and moves along just fine. The historical road runs right in front of the Edison and Ford Estates. While driving there, we passed a few Churches, Palatial homes... More

After taking a JC Cruise, we drove back along this beautiful road on our way back to Sanibel. This ignored our GPS, though! The homes we saw from the boat cruise can be seen closer up if you drive down some of the side roads. Many of the roads end at the river, so you have to turn around, but... More

It's a beautiful drive. Passing the Ford / Edison estates you feel yourself going back in time. The palms were great.

Everyone should drive the length of this street at least once to view the miles of palm trees. We always take this road on our way to and from Sanibel.

The quiet drive down McGregor Blvd is several miles with both sides of the street lined with Royal Palm Trees established by Edison and Ford. The drive into town is marked with these majestic palms and beautifully updated old Florida homes. The street makes its way past the homes of Ford and Edison ending in the updated section of downtown... More

McGregor is lined with Palm Trees. The original trees close to Fort Myers were planted by Thomas Edison. The Edison and Ford Estates are a few blocks south of downtown. The Vietnam Memorial is a few more blocks south at Colonial. Don't get on it during rush hour.

Lovely, relaxing drive once you get just south of the Edison Museum and head into the downtown area. However, it is very noisy to live just off of McGregor like I do. There are so many loud and speeding motorcyclists going up and down all day and night. The police don't seem to enforce speed limits.
