Bonnet House is so unique and worth a stop if you have the time when they are open. The tour is not 'cheap' but it is something you do not see in most beach tourist areas. There are still wildlife in this woodsy spot along A1A and the gardens boast amazing orchids.

Thoroughly enjoyed taking a guided tour around this beautiful coastal home. The guide made it fascinating as we learned about the family of artists who amassed an amazing collection of paintings and collectibles. The serene courtyard and garden walk added to the enjoyment. For more information before you go, there's a great description in the local guidebook of days out... More

OK, it isnt all that old and the price is @20 to enter the lush beautiful gardens, with native plants and tropical beauty. The house, which you may visit separately, a savings on the 20 buck price tab if you dont care very much about how the useless rich actually managed to live here and maintain it.

It was a great tour. I wasn't sure that I wanted to go, but decided to go. I am glad we did. The grounds are beautiful and the house tour was worth every second spent there.

We had a great tour and our guide was very interesting, giving us facts about the house and people that lived there. Full of wonderful and unusual furniture and paintings and large and beautiful garden.

The cost is $20 per adult. My husband and I spent over 2 and 1/2 hours touring the house and grounds. Janice was our guide through the house and she was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and clear speaking and well informed on all the art work. The grounds tour was $2 per person extra and we were on a golf cart... More

I just loved this place. Being a mom got me in free that day.Bonus! The grounds are lovely and have so many interesting plants. Visiting the museum was a wonderful experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had been there much of his life. He clearly loved the place and sharing it with us. It is so good that places... More

The Bonnet House docents are knowledgeable; the tropical property is pretty. Most of all, though, a walk guided walk through the park will give you some history of the beach that is all but gone away amidst the high rise condos and the modern bar scene.

As a local I have not visited before. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was a gem I needed to discover. Perfect place for the wedding and dinner.

This is a very different place from the Vizcayas, the Whitehalls, the Newport Mansions because it was actually designed by the owners, and decorated with their own art. The others are all monuments to famous architects, decorators, but the only connection to the owners is that they paid for it all. Here you will find quirky, whimsical, very personal art.... More
