When will these idiots learn. The folks who pay for everything and who are willing to pay 20-40 bucks a head for kids stuff don’t want ur BS mask crap. Place was empty today on a Saturday at noon, obviously, and if you to make us weak a stupid face diaper then get what you what get. Get woke go broke dummies. We took our 150 bucks over to Fippos down the street.
When will they learn……

Awful. Overpriced, and filthy. They make you wear a mask and the employees follow you around and harass you if it’s under your nose yet they don’t clean anything. They make announcements every 10 minutes enforcing the mask policy. Enough's enough guys, it’s been two years.

There is plenty to see and do for 2+ up. We had fun too. Our toddler kept busy in 2-3 hours. There are turtles, baby sharks and baby alligators. There are rides and interactive exhibits. The museum is in downtown Fort Lauderdale. There is garage and street parking available.

Museum of Discovery & Science has traveling exhibit 'Here Be Dragons'. It transports you to the realm of dragon's. Covid 19 procedures, very good staff. It's best if you are with children, then you also want the next door exhibit 'Dino Dana'.

this visit was a bit of a deception : quite expensive for only two floors of exhibition space, quickly over crowded (lots of waiting at all the stations, which were btw unimpressive). Tickets for IMAX shows go in no time. Ditto for the snacks at Element Cafe. Count 2 hour, top.

If you are looking for something to do in Fort Lauderdale while waiting for a cruise, this is a good one day activity and great for the family. Even as an older couple with no kids with us, we really enjoyed the museum. An added plus was the special event going on that they have every year - the Asian American and Pacific Islander Day with special activities and musical entertainment. Museum is very well put together and aesthetically pleasing!

I honestly am not being mean but have to be honest,, this place has gone downhill, We were there for the Lego Discovery weekend and it was truly bad. Lego stations set up for basically just building Legos nothing as advertised... could have stayed home and saved our money,, tried to make the best of it but was there with 13 year old boys so they did not have much as much of the attractions are geared to younger ages. The actual attractions were not all functioning one ride had ripped up seats and the out door park is filthy, not maintained well at all. Truly disappointed as to how the entire place has deteriorated, first time coming since COVID and will not be back...not to mention the mandated 6 hour parking imposed when you use their garage to park... terrible

We went here because of the rain and really enjoyed ourselves. The museum is incredibly interactive but not crowded. There are multiple kinds of exhibits so everyone should be able to find something they like. The animals are so cool and the staff is very friendly. You get a free IMAX movie with your ticket too.

We spent about 3 hours here with our two kids - ages 6 and 7. They had a wonderful time = lucky enough to catch the last virtual air boat ride too. We went during the week right as they opened and it never got crowded. You'll need to wear masks of course.

We had a blast with a 4 and 5 year old. The kiddos were busy for hours. The only downside was closed exhibits and the food place had limited food. As we went at 11:30am to get food - we were surprised to find out they had no sandwiches left. In advance it said you can’t bring your own food. We 100% should have as there was nothing but cookies and chips for the kids to eat sadly. As this is a museum for kids - this is frankly unacceptable.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to review the Museum. We take pride in providing exceptional customer service to all visitors. We are sorry that your recent visit to the Museum was not exceptional.
Sometimes, the exhibits can become a victim of their own success and need some maintenance.
As summer is our busy season, our Cafe offerings can sell fairly quickly. We apologize that our policy regarding food was miscommunicated. Guests are permitted to bring food to enjoy in our Atrium or on our New River balcony (space permitting), but not inside the Museum among the exhibits. Bringing food and keeping it in a lunchbox to enjoy outside is perfectly acceptable.
Please know your feedback will be shared internally with our team.

Just three might be a little young, but there are plenty of hands on things to do that even very young children can enjoy. Our four year old grandsons had a blast. While there were some activities they couldn't participate in, those were few and far between. As I recall, there was a special area for younger ones near the entrance and once my grandsons got in there, they were having so much fun it was hard to get them to leave to explore the rest of the museum.

what is the cost to go there?
Written 10 September 2017

how many hours should I calculate to see everything?
Written 19 July 2017
If you have kids it's going to depend on how interested they are in different things I would think you could easily spend four hours in there with no problem I'm thinking even six depending on the age of the children
Also if you combined it with an IMAX movie you might need a little more time. Enjoy!

Are there any good and relatively close parking spots for this museum that are less expensive? I have gone once and paid $12 for the parking garage. My friend paid $10 for two hours at a parking meter.
