I visited this park many years ago to experience the bike trails with my son. Now I have an annual pass to visit the beach and fish from the pier; you can't beat seafood this fresh. Keep you eyes open for views of sea turtles from the pier, dolphins (and the occasional submarine) in the river. The fort often hosts... More

We only stayed for one day, but wish it were longer. The park is left in a very natural state. Unfortunately we visited shortly after Hurricane Mathew passed through and there was a lot of debris on the sides of the trails that we could see from the roads. I will explore those trails the next time I visit. The... More

The fort is a must see and be sure and watch the 12 minute preview before for some interesting history. The beaches are beautiful and very quiet. Can ride bikes. There is also camping but we did not explore that.

This park is top notch! Well maintained very spacious camp sites with a variety of options from primitive to hook ups. Beach access and a great and welcoming visitors center! We rented bikes and wandered about saying hi to everyone and getting waves and hellos back! Clean and modern facilities, this is an amazing park!

Fort Clinch is the anchor to the Fort Clinch State Park. Trails, beaches, and fantastic wooded canopy drives. The fort is a lot of fun to tour and has a 1st Weekend Event with folks dressed up as how the fort was in 1862-64. There are a lot of bicycle rides and runs through the wooded roads. There are 2... WOW! This was a little slice of heaven. The day we went was super hot and we didn't realize you could swim right at the pier so we did not have our suits but if we were to go back, which we plan to, we will make a full day of it. There was lots to do and we only... More

With the hurricane damage to the fishing pier us "commoners" have no place to fish off a pier/bridge other than driving all the way to the south end. This pier needs to become a priority to get fixed but sad but true it will be years it seems before this works it's way to the top of the list. Great... More

We checked in on Friday afternoon and were very excited about camping at the beach. We had a tent site on the beach loop. We pulled up & we're very disappointed. The site was a square sugar sand pit barely separated from other camp sites by a wooden rail. In between there were lots of cactus so our kids really... More

At the gate and right away realize staff is super awesome! Hubby was meeting us after work and rather than charge for 2 cars they let us park one car there at the gate and let us drive in the park in the other car. $6 per car. We drove down to the fort which was another $6 for the... More
