The Fort is in great shape. Wonderful views of the waterways. Well maintain relics. Friendly people. The drive from the entrance is beautiful with overhanging branches filled with Spanish Moss. Bike and walking paths as well.

Recently camped over a weekend beach-side at Fort Clinch. Sites are very level with little to no shade but the ocean and beach are the reason to camp here. The boardwalk to the ocean is only steps from most of the sites. Due to position...More

Biking, hiking, exploring the fort, birdwatching, seeing alligators or strolling on the beach, there's a lot to do and see here. It is a beautiful outdoor experience. Many people find shark teeth on the beach too.

Interesting history around the fort. It is larger than you might imagine. The day we were there, there were reinactments with people in military clothing from the 1890's. Cool stuff!

We just love this beach for shelling! It never fails to deliver on shells. Today I found several shark's teeth instead of shells. It only costs $6/vehicle to enter the park. There is an actual fort you can actually visit, which is quite interesting. But...More

Visiting the Fort was fun. It was interesting to hear the history of the fort and be able to walk around and imagine how life was there. There were also 2 "soldiers" there to answer questions.

Had a good time walking the nature trail on the Jacksonville side of the bridge. We got to see some interesting tidal birds and an alligator. I have never seen a pink bird, but the kids and I spotted several pink colored spoonbills.

So much history that encompasses numerous events in America’s history. The fort is in excellent condition with canons mounted as they were originally on the parapets. Guided in original customers are there to show what life was like. We enjoyed this visit.
