My adult son and I enjoyed a four hour paddle in single kayaks on the East River near Everglades City. We were very fortunate to be the only people who had booked that afternoon, so it was a private tour. We paddled up the river through mangrove stands... quite the adventure, with lots of gators and birds. Our guide, Dillon,... More

If you search a eco friendly alternative for those noisy, polluting airboats try to get in touch with the beauty of nature by kayaking through the mangroves, listen to the birds, watch the wildlife at your own pace. Excellent service and material, great guide.

I admit my partner chose this trip, but I loved the 4 kayaking adventures we did with guides Dillon and DJ. They were VERY safety conscious and amazing spotters of wildlife I would have missed. We paddled Halfway Creek, went to Hidden Lake twice (birds!!!), and out to 10,000 Islands once. The latter is NOT for those who aren't pretty... More

This was a real adventure. Be ready to paddle for 2 hours, but not at all extreme, no current to fight. Guide (from NC) was great! Saw tons of gators, paddled single file through a mangrove tunnel, then turned around and did it all again at night! Spooky! Great dark view of the stars with no light pollution.

I love to kayak, so we stopped into the Ivey House to see what they had available. The guide at the desk (Caroline?) suggested the Sunset Kayak. We are so glad we did it. It exceeded our expectations for sure. We are experienced paddlers, but we did have two kids, 9 and 11. Our 11 year old paddled the entire... More

Booked this trip at The Ivey House, met up with two others and Dan our guide. I was in the middle of a 3 week road trip around Florida and I have to say this was the highlight! Saw lots of birds and alligators and paddled through some spectacular mangrove tunnels. Dan is obviously passionate about what he does and... More

We were part of a Road Scholar group staying at the Ivey House and enjoyed 3 different and diverse kayak tours with Dillon Griffin and his team. It was so much fun and a great learning experience.

Dillon and Danny are two of the best this region has to offer. They set up two guided turs for myself and friends. They also did the guiding. Safety first and adventure second but only by a little bit. We saw animals and birds that were amazing. They knew lots about the history of the places we paddled through and... More

Booked through the Ivy House as that's where we were staying it the rental company was conveniently located just across the street. We did the morning tour. Dylan and Cory were wonderful hosts for our group of five as we paddled down Turner River. Saw dozens of alligators as close as we safely could. Meandered down a tight mangrove tunnel.... More

We reserved a room at the Ivey House because we knew we wanted to do the guided kayaking the next morning. I was devastated when I saw online that they were full for kayaking the only day we could make it. I called to see if we could get on a waitlist, and the receptionist set us up on a... More
