We were getting our dive certification and did checkout dives in Rainbow River. It was an excellent experience. The spots with depth are shallow enough to not feel uncomfortable while figuring out your gear.

The park has parking. If you put your kayak in downstream, just pale up and come back down to the Park.

Dawn Check out AirBnB,com (or as Chris said VRBO)- put in Rainbow River and homes/cabins etc come up and you can pick and choose based upon your needs/wants. Hope this helps
