Went there for a bike ride and explore the area. The north section on Osprey Trail went well until I got to the top and couldn't go back the other way. Part of the trail was flooded. I went thru several bypass trails to hit...More

This beach is large and beautiful. Frequented by people of all ages. White sand, lots of seashells, sand dollars and clear water. No highrise housing. No hotels. Serene. Perfection. $8 per car admission.

This beach is quiet and perfect for families as the tide when it goes out leaves a lagoon easy for kids to play in. With a cafe and restrooms it was a perfect day out.

We very much enjoyed the beach. I loved the sand bar that created a natural barrier for the waves. My girls loved playing in the calm water.

We have lived in Palm Harbor for a year. We go to Honeymoon Island almost every week - maybe 2 times a week. We have not had a problem with sand fleas. There are mosquitoes - we bring bug spray. I hope this helps. We... More

We've been to Orlando a couple of times, but I've not heard of agate or gem searching. Maybe check out to see if there are any gem hunting activities listed on the Visit Orlando site or Visit Florida
