This is a wonderful little museum that all tourists should visit. Learn a little about Destin's short but rich history! Locals take pride in preserving an amazing past. Take time to talk to the locals that volunteer.

The owner is very nice and knowledgeable and takes the time to explain all of the historic pieces in the museum. It's a quaint little place but it's loaded with history and awesome information for the little ones has a nice gift shop as well.

Destin museum is a quaint little museum with lots of Destin history. It's small and you'll surely not spend a day there but it's super informative if you're interested in fishing or Destin.

This was one of the stops on our Segway tour. Unfortunately, part of it was closed for the day due to a large school group, but we still got to see the outdoor exhibits. In October, the museum celebrated it's 11th Anniversary.

We happened upon this museum the other day and decided to stop in. We are very glad we did. The woman running it is a descendant of one of the founding families of Destin so is very knowledgable of the history of the Emerald Coast....More

The lady that runs this place was very nice and knowledgeable, but it was dinky small and not worth the $5 charge to get in. The fish were all plaster models, and you could tell some of them were very old.
