This is a wonderful little museum that all tourists should visit. Learn a little about Destin's short but rich history! Locals take pride in preserving an amazing past. Take time to talk to the locals that volunteer.

The owner is very nice and knowledgeable and takes the time to explain all of the historic pieces in the museum. It's a quaint little place but it's loaded with history and awesome information for the little ones has a nice gift shop as well.

Destin museum is a quaint little museum with lots of Destin history. It's small and you'll surely not spend a day there but it's super informative if you're interested in fishing or Destin.

This was one of the stops on our Segway tour. Unfortunately, part of it was closed for the day due to a large school group, but we still got to see the outdoor exhibits. In October, the museum celebrated it's 11th Anniversary.

31 senior travelers from Pensacola visited last week and found the museum most interesting and educational. Kathy Marler Blue was an excellent host and tour guide through the facility. She has intricate knowledge of the history of Destin and the fishing rodeo and told the stories well. The staff were very helpful. Displays and photos helped illustrate the history. A... More

We happened upon this museum the other day and decided to stop in. We are very glad we did. The woman running it is a descendant of one of the founding families of Destin so is very knowledgable of the history of the Emerald Coast. We learned a lot from her and from viewing the exhibits. We really enjoyed our... More
