This is a beautiful place with picturesque buildings, bridges over waterways, restaurants, shops, and scenic views of the bay and marina. Worth a stop just for the atmosphere. We came during the day, but there is entertainment at night--night clubs etc.

Very calm serene atmosphere. You feel relaxed just driving it. Nice area to stroll & catch a bite of food. Huge area, with many condos etc. so it could be trouble getting into the restaurants. The carousel & zipline etc. are all chargeable kids activities....More

So much fun that we went back without the kids! Driving into this resort area you will enjoy the well groomed landscape. We brought elementary age kids the first time and we enjoyed live music as we ate dinner. They have shopping, restaurants and activities...More

It depends why you're visiting this place. We went with a large group of people looking for a place to eat supper. The waits at the restaurants were unacceptable and the prices were outrageous. We're pretty disappointed in this regard. The food was delicious at...More

Great place to eat and watch the boats come in and out. Crazy Lobster has the best drinks....Fishing is great on the boardwalk pier. Lots of shops....the holiday weekend had a lot of extra vendors at bayside. Fireworks and all on the water was great!

We stumbled on this place by accident, it was so cool! Lots of unique areas to shop, a carousel, several restaurants with outdoor seating and live music. They had Willie Wonka playing out on the main square, and carousels for the kiddos. Very neat place....More

We visited the Wharf during the day and it was pretty low key. There aren't too many shops. A little high priced. Looked like there were many things for kids to do. We had heard it is best to visit at night when it's more...More

The Village of Baytowne Wharf is a secluded retail and restaurant area located within the confines of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. It is not necessary to be a guest of the resort to visit.

This is a public place. You do have to enter the gate, but just tell the guard where you are going and he will point you in the right direction.

Baytowne is not a 5th wheel place but is a nice area with restaurants, live free music on Wednesday etc. I certainly wouldn't consider it upity. Friendly folks, shops etc. There is a park for children. I like the atmosphere... More
