Lisa gave an enlightening tour of the beautiful articles of this particular type of embroidery. You cannot imagine that the skills needed to execute this work will be kept alive, too few have the time and inclination now to spend hours to make these articles...More

We just stopped in to see the handwork and stayed a long time. Interesting place for the Quaker history. The people were very kind and helpful.

The story of Mountmellick lace, the local craft that almost disappeared, but was brought back from the brink, is beautifully presented at this fascinating little museum. Our group also enjoyed a practical introductory workshop.
