About
As the main street of Delray Beach, Atlantic Avenue offers a mix of great shopping, delicious food options, and vibrant nightlife near the waterfront. Here at this pedestrain-friendly street, you can browse the coolest antique shops, clothing boutiques, and art galleries. At both lunch and dinner time, a wide range of restaurants awaits you—from fine dining to tiki bars. For some seaside relaxation, hit the Delray Public Beach which is quieter than neighboring spots along the South Florida coast. Valet parking is available along the avenue. Alternatively, you can look for self-parking options on the side streets. – Tripadvisor

I loved everything about Atlantic Avenue! The boutiques and the restaurants were fabulous. Drive down to the beach and go to the left and tour from the street all the magnificent mansions.!!!

Atlantic Crossing Delray Beach - Valet parking
Get ready to get ripped off when you visit Hampton Social. The valet charges $25 but doesn't bother to tell you or have any signage to inform you of the cost. Leads you to believe that you're "tipping" for the service.

Loved this stretch of street filled with bars and restaurants. You have a hundred choices of bars and restaurants with a bunch of art galleries and high end gift stores thrown into the mix. This is one of the most attractive and lively areas you’ll find in Florida - we loved it any day of the week.

Atlantic Ave is main thoroughfare and has vehicle traffic on the street at all times of the day and night. The locals seem to love to drive their loud vehicles, motorcycles and dirt bikes on Atlantic Ave and rev them up to the loudest point they can. There are signs posted on the street prohibiting loud exhaust noises but that doesn't seem to deter many.

It used to be good. It was not a stuffy town like Boca Raton. You had free parking until recently, but the increase in visitors created a problem. Much like the current treasury department, the only way they can fix things is to make them worse. Raising rates only hurts people and jobs not lowering demand. Delray Beach is doing the same thing. They give parking spaces away to business for Valet (BTW I paid taxes for this roads). They added meters, and now they have parking Gestapo to write tickets. Park your little scooter in a large unused portion of the parking street and you get a ticket. Something they didn't do years ago. Maybe revenue needs, but it's no longer that friendly city I went to for 20 years. Might as well go to Boca Raton, they have better free parking, less drug addicts and classy people. They may take your money, charge a little for parking, but at least they are up front with what they do, and they maintain their area better than Delray!!!!

Had a really great time in Delray, the city offers a lot. Went with my family, including adult children. We had lots to do and the kids went out to several clubs in the evening. It’s a fun town.

This was our second visit to Delray Beach. We have close friends from New York who live there and in nearby. Our first impression several years ago was that it was too young and "suburban" in feel for us to spend much time there. This past month, our impression changed as soon as we spent more time exploring. Great boutiques, multi-cuisine dining scene which is growing every day, quality hotels , nice homes, plus a great place for walking made us think about renting next winter. Hey Briteline---put in a stop!
