- The PidgeWayne, New Jersey597 contributionsA gamer's delightWith the Asbury Park, NJ location being a short drive from my home (and a place where I've spent a considerable amount of time over the years), I was thrilled to be able to experience it's sister property. It did not disappoint. Like the original, there is wide variety of machines, from pinball to arcade classics to Skee-Ball (unusually long ones that came from a shuttered arcade in Coney Island, NY). Everything is in great shape, and most have signage explaining the history and significance of each game. Unlike the Asbury Park location, there are bars upstairs and down; like the Asbury Park location, parking can be a bit of a hassle. It's worth hunting for a space, though.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 31 October 2023
- muddneck79Loxahatchee, Florida144 contributionsFirst timerFirst time. Everyone working there was very nice. Inside tons of games, I liked how they put the signs on how old the games were and the highest player on each one. The bar was good with happy hour and food was good. We will definitely come back .Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 January 2024
- Tab BBrooklyn, New York1,075 contributionsIf you like Pinball, need to stop byWe've been to silverball in Asbury. The OG. So, while we were stopping in Delray, obviously we had to stop in this one. This one is modeled after the Jersey shore one, paying homage with many signs from the Jersey Shore - loved that. Loved that the upstairs bar had bartop/table top pacmans AND a regular sized pacman (pacman is my favorite!). Loved all the different games and the pinballs. Found some really rare and interesting ones that the asbury one doesn't have. Loved the two floors - makes if seem open and large as opposed to the Asbury one which seems small and cramped. Did not love that there's only one bathroom for the entire place, which means a lot of standing on line, especially the more people there. Did not love that about half the machines were not working - did like that there was a clipboard so that you could report the non working ones, but it seemed like some of them (based off the list) had been in non working order for a while. Would still come back, and have recommended that friends come down to check it out.Thank you so much for your feedback! We are always striving to improve as our guests are so, so important to us! We were remiss in guiding you to our additional restrooms and we are working daily to get our games up to the quality our guests deserve - and I apologize for that! Please feel free to reach out directly (patricia@silverballmuseum.com) so that we can make sure your next visit is even more fun!Written 13 June 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 June 2024

After paying $30 for two hour-play passes, I noticed a coupon next to the cash. I asked the cashier if I could use it. He said, no, he had already punched in the sale. I asked if he could cancel it and do it again, using the coupons. He refused to cancel it for no logical reason, and had a bit of attitude. We went into the arcade to discover that quite a few of the machines did not work. Some of the games had unusable screens and messed-up controls. Most of the machines were pinball. I asked to see the manager, but the only person available was the kitchen manager. She tried to get us our discount, but instead, returned with two passes to come back!!! I appreciate the initiative, but the last thing I want to do is go back. It was boring the first time. Not worth $15.00 for an hour of play.

The entry fees are not cheap but the experience is really fun and memorable. This is a large pinball museum with a great collection of vintage pinball machines for your to play. There's food and a bar so you don't have to leave the building for hours. This is a fun diversion if you are on a vacation and it's great to your local to bring back memories of fun times growing up playing pinball.

Lori, thank you for coming to Silverball, and your review. Our goal is to recreate the glory days of pinball and arcade gaming, and we're glad we could provide that to you. Sounds like you're on vacation, we hope to see you again before you go home (or if you're not on vacation, we'll see you soon!)

Every summer I used to go to a bungalow colony that had a few pinball machines. When I wasn't swimming, I was playing the pinball machines. And I haven't played pinballs for many decades. So you can imagine how excited I was to see Silverball with over 20 great vintage pinballs. They had a flat rate per hour or day so I could play each machine for FREE. WOW! You can see why I call it pinball heaven.

This is an amazing place to visit if you are a fan of Pinball machines. Never seen so many ,working, pinballs machines, they remined me of a era long past. The owners have this organized perfectly and priced so you don't have to deal with coins. They have history notes above each machine giving you a little history of each one. Some of these I haven't seen since I was much younger. Other than one or two everything was working . Great staff. Two bars, food that is surprisingly good for a venue like this. Be warned this is not a place for kids under 8 . very loud and 90 % pen ball . Some old video games like packman but this is not a Dave & Busters with all the latest video games. I brought my 12 & 10 yr grandsons who found plenty of games they liked. Will come back for sure.

My brother suggested this place since I have 2 pinball machines at my home. I have been playing Pinball for most of my life. If you love to play pinball or skeeball, or other types of games, this place has it. For 115 bucks and hour or 17 bucks for a half day, its a great sunny or rainy day activity.
There is a bar here and many other things. It'll be the best entertainment money you can spend.

We have gone some 5-6 times each time is better than the last. Employees are kind and informative and to view all these old and new machines is breathtaking. Especially if you find one you played growing up. We will be returning many trips to participate in our favorite hobby.

My wife and I had an awesome experience at the Silverball Museum in Delray Beach. We were greeted by Sarah and she gave us all the info we needed to play multiple pinball machines (some are classics more than 50 years old) and others are very recent. We also played a few of the older video games such as Pac Man, Donkey Kong, skee ball, baseball, basketball, air hockey etc. There are two floors of more than 60 pinball machines. A modest fee covers you playing all the games for just an hour or all day long. What a great way to spend a couple hours on a hot day. Thanks so much Sarah!! Please note - they do not open until noon. There is an adjacent parking lot with free parking for 9 hours.

I love this place, and so do my wife and two teenage grandsons. Nothing gets to me about my Junior high school years than those lunch hours in front of a pinball machine, and this place has got many machines from the 50's onward. The cost is reasonable. Expect to be transported back to about age 12 and flip those flippers! We went for the first time a couple of weeks ago on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded.

My daughter is a video game fan and is actually studying computer science in college with an emphasis on computer/video game design. So I thought this would be a fun place to take her during our Florida vacation, to get an idea of how pinball and video games (they have both here) were like when I was a kid. So I took her and my sister, whom we were visiting, there for an afternoon of fun.
It exceeded expectations! There were a lot of folks there for a Monday afternoon, but there are sooooooo many games that we never had any difficulty in finding a game that we wanted to play. In addition to pinball and classic video games like Pacman and Space Invader, they have several skeetball games, a basketball shooting game like at the carnival, a Madden football game, and more. About three hours was enough for us, but of course your mileage may vary. I thought that the price was quite fair for that amount of entertainment.
Recommended.

Hi There,
My name is Dayna and I am the GM here at Silverball Museum. I am sorry to hear of your experience here and would like to offer you a chance to come back on me to see how we can make the experience better. I also see you were here in December and left a 5 star review, I would like to be able to make sure we can live up to the 5 stars again. I do understand your frustration about the games that were down and we are actively working on this for our guests. As you know the games are old and do experience a lot of wear and tear with the amount of use they take daily. We are actively working on alleviating that issue by having more tech support. Myself or the Assistant Manager would always like to be made aware of any issues that arise at the time of happening so we may be able help you as best we can in the moment. I would love for you to come back anytime and ask for me so that we can make your experience better. Thank you again for your feedback and I look forward to hearing from you.

I think this was in response to another customer. Maybe the question key was hit instead of manager response. I personally have received responses by establishments but not like this? Who are you referring to? I don't recall writing a bad review? I love it there!
