Beautiful homes of distinction. In the Christmas time they light up the entire area. Lovely drive. We walk it last time was a long walk.

Although the trail alongside the lake was mostly under water, we did enjoy walking around and appreciating the architecture of the area. The homes were immaculately kept and the ducks and geese were entertaining.

It is a quaint town full of friendly smiles and warm greetings. The historic district is gorgeous but the perfectly round lake, amphitheater, museum, train display and fountain just add to the mystique. It is worth the drive even if it is off the eaten path.

A nice one mile walk around beautiful Lake DeFuniak will introduce you to this picturesque Historic Chautauqua town in northwest Florida. There are several historic markers at the Library and the Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood that will give you the background details to help you enjoy this unique 130 year old town.

While visiting the area, friends recommended going to the Christmas Lights display. Without a doubt, the best we've seen throughout several states! Well worth the walk or drive around the lake. Many different lights and themes along the mile-plus drive.

We were told about the Christmas lights so we made a special trip to check them out. We're glad we did. It was well worth the trip. You can stay in you car and go around the lake as many times as you want for $3.00/per person. There had to be hundreds of trees decorated with thousands of lights. The... More

While visiting the Emerald Coast, we just thought we would drive through this quaint sounding town and were pleasantly treated to a magnificent Christmas light display. The cost is $3.00 a person. Well worth it, You can even take a horse drawn carriage ride around the circle. Even during the day, taking a trip around the circle with the town... More

The perfectly round lake has a walking tour of mostly Victorian style cottages around the lake's perimeter. There is also a museum of the area's history. We stopped at a very good restaurant about half way around. A nice activity if you want to stretch your legs on a nice day. The walk all the way around the lake is... More

Circular lake surrounded by well-kept, classic home, some with columns. Visited as they were set up for Christmas lighting with decorations around most of lake.

Drive around the lake that is a perfect circle and enjoy the wonderful old homes. In December people line up to drive the circle to see holiday decorations. There are evenets held along the lake shore that always draw a crowd. Charming and quaint!
