Love it.

Deerfield beach has a hidden gem! Take a free boat ride on the weekend to this hidden hideaway. You won't be disappointed if you like nature.

Very disappointed that we could not locate the ferry service for this park. We tried to find the location, and searched for the correct location of the ferry. After driving around for an hour, locating Pioneer Park and then reading the sign "the ferry no longer picks up here and should got to Sullivan Park", we said forget it. I'm... More

Easy to get too! Great staff. Awesome boat ride to the island. You're on your own when u get to the island but it's easy to navigate around. We didn't see too many creatures, only a large iguana but it was still a fun trip.

20 minute boat ride to the island, cruising past multimillion dollar homes and some boats in the same price range. The boat crew was wonderful and friendly. The island is pretty amazing; you completely forget you are in the middle of the city. Iguanas, tropical plants, and large spiders make it feel like the jungle. And it's free!

If you don't have a boat you can only go over on Saturday or Sunday when there is a free boat that takes passengers. You have to know when it goes. It does not go often and only holds 12-14 people. The island is lovely to walk around. We saw many raccoons wandering around during the day and were told... More

We went with a whole group of family members ranging in age from 4 to 94 and everyone had a great time. The boat dock is a little tricky to find but well worth the effort. It is a short (and free) boat trip and then you can walk and picnic an see all kinds of wildlife, as long as... More

A nice little park for a short trip, a picnic, or just a walk in the park! The ferry dock was closed but they had an alternate site, which actually worked out better, because we got a 20 minute tour of the coastal waterway on the way to the island. It is the only wilderness area in Southern Florida, it is... Four adults took the free ferry across to the island. Great 20 minute run with views of Boca and Deerfield Beach with two accommodating and cheerful young men operating the boat. We walked around the trails for 1.5 hours and although did not see a lot of wildlife enjoyed the tranquility. A great way to spend a Sunday morning.
