- 819andreayBoca Raton, Florida381 contributionsBeautiful white sand beach and you can fish all along the pierBeautiful, clean, white sand, beach that’s open to the public. all parking is paid for parking. If you get to the beach early enough, you may be able to get a spot right along ocean Boulevard. There are parking lots off to the side and there’s a big parking garage on A1A directly across from Island Water Sports. The beach is busy with surfers volleyball players and lots of people just enjoying the sand, the sun and the ocean. Plenty of nice restaurants right all along the area. The pier goes right over the ocean and there’s a two dollar charge to enter the pier. You can also rent fishing gear and fish all along the pier cost is roughly $20 for the day.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 March 2024
- Destination282930Dominican Republic5 contributionsBeautiful and well maintained boardwalkI love Deerfield Beach, the boardwalk, and its waterfront restaurants. We stay in Deerfield Beach every couple of months and I can never get night of evening walks at the boardwalk. It’s clean, well maintained and is still a hidden not overpopulate beach with plenty of parking .Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 22 June 2024
- A C18 contributionsBest spot in town to see sunriseBeautiful boardwalk. So nice to have a walking path parallel to the shoreline. Several restaurants nearby and ample places to purchase water and drinks. My favorite place to view sunrise in SE FL.Visited August 2024Travelled soloWritten 26 August 2024

The above picture doe not show a boardwalk but just the beach. There are two structures that overlook the beach. The international pier at the north end around 1st Street and the boardwalk on 9th Street.
I go there almost every morning to watch the dawn's early light and for the sunrise. I get there about 6:30AM. There are a number of people that are there at that time. We call ourselves the "Sunrise people!" If you really want to know what is happening at that time that the tourist or later arrivals don't see, I'll tell you! There is a devoted and friendly staff of city employees working at that hour cleaning the beach, outdoor shower stalls and street preparing for the new day.
The city is constantly upgrading the beach area and the retail stores and restaurants are there to serve you. They are friendly and carry a full range of merchandise.
Deerfield Beach is a pure beach town and the only place where you can park within 12 feet of the sand. You gotta get there early to get a spot. The cost is very reasonable, only $2 per hour and handicap spaces are free!
I could go on and on why I love Deerfield Beach!
I've been fortunate to have visited the beaches in Marbella, Spain, St. Tropez, Cannes, France, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bahamas but I'll take Deerfield Beach! I can sleep in my own bed at night!
Everyday should be a beach day! If now now, when?

It is one of the most calming and relaxing walks along the shoreline you can find. Beautiful scenery and lots of room and very well kept. If you happen to take it in during a hot summers day please be aware to bring your own refreshment. I find the early morning and late evening hours the best time to enjoy the ocean breeze and sounds of water landing onshore. The boardwalk is safe and well patrolled.

Deerfield Beach is very clean safe area. Very family oriented The city takes great pride in cleaning the beach everyday. They even plant golf course grass along the edges there's always a number of festivals and events happening. Plenty of Oceanside restaurants and bars great food. Very beautiful calming area.

Parking is too expensive and the grassy areas are crowded with picnickers because no food is allowed on the beach. We walked along the water's edge and had to watch our every step as dangerous men-of-war were everywhere. Also we saw lots of trash on sandy beach from bottle caps, cigarette butts, plastics, to busted paper cups. Yuck.

We traveled during a popular week. The beach was busy. If you arrived before 11am you could get street parking. Street parking was affordable. There is a cost for all parking, so be prepared. The ocean is nice for young kids. Shallow for a long way out. We rented lounges/chairs and umbrellas which was 100% worth it for us and affordable in my opinion, 60$ for 2 for the whole day - Oceanside Beach Services I believe it was called. Again, get there early to get one of those. Lots of food options and shopping around the area of the pier. Great family beach day.

Nice walkway with lots of space to sit on the beach or grassy area. Limited public metered parking along a short stretch of the beach. Also there are a couple of fee based public parking garages. Plenty of good eats near Fisherman’s pier. Fun and relaxed place to visit for a few hours or holiday.

I loved walking and running here everyday during my recent stay in Deerfield Beach. I particularly loved the end furthest from the fishing pier where there were raised wooden walkways and platforms.
Know before you go, however, no one wears masks while walking here...

Very well organized, beautifully layed out area with metered parking 100ft from beach. It was the 5th of July and there were so many community members on beach clean-up duty. It was great to see all ages chipping in to keep beach nice.
