Flamingo Gardens was amazing. Got to see so much up close. There were peacocks all around the grounds and they were mating. The males fanned their feathers and turning 360 degrees to attract the females. Absolutely gorgeous. The flamingos are gorgeous and there were also pink spoonbills. Loved walking all over and there was much to see.

It was a great place to visit. I was originally a bit sceptical, but I really enjoyed my time. There are tons of animals and plants to see. You get to interact very closely with many of the birds and see various other types of animals as well, such as otters, turtles, peacocks, and large cats. The tram tour was... More

It doesn't look like much from Flamingo Rd, but once you go inside, you realize that you're some place special. Once you walk through the gift shop, be prepared to be greeted by the resident cats or peacocks wandering the grounds. Although this is a sanctuary, and not a zoo, they have many various animals that are popular in this... More

Our visit to Flamingo Gardens was fabulous. We had peacocks eating out of our hands. We took the 20 minute tram tour and it was like a great trip through different types of palm trees, bananas and native plants. The facility was in good repair and very clean. Do yourself a favor and visit Flamingo Gardens.

Many of our Airbnb guest have come back with reports about this hidden S. Florida gem. So we finally visited. Relaxing and very old Florida helps you understand the transformation of Hollywood, Broward county, Port Everglades and so much more. Great for history buffs as well as gardeners looking for ideas of native species. Learn about pioneer entrepreneurs Floyd and... More

We spent a few hours at Flamingo Gardens waiting for our afternoon flight out of FLL. It was very fascinating to see the flamingos as well as the other animals free roaming the facility. It seems they are doing a wonderful service trying to rehabilitate and provide sanctuary for many different species. Thank you!

Not many animals to watch. Nice trail to go for a walk if you want to see plants and trees. I did not meet my expectations.

We were pleasantly surprised with our family visit to Flamingo Gardens this March break. Our group of 6 included 2 seniors and 2 curious kids (10 and 12) and this botanical garden provided exactly the low key, old Florida style outdoor experience we were looking for. If you are looking for a theme park style experience you are in the... More

Visit did not meet our expectations. Research before led us to think this would be a highlight tour. Sight is run by a not-for-profit organization that needs more resources and support. Garden areas seem to be lacking high quality maintenance and management. Individuals, organizations, and Boy Scouts seem to contribute a lot of support, but for a large area it... More
