Small but very popular beach area. Also popular place to start kayak trips. Just outside the swimming area was a manatee which was amazing. A lot of boats go by and a bit too busy to want to stay too long

This park is ideal for sunbathing on a sandy area, fishing, kayaking or canoeing, swimming, taking a picnic break, watching boats ply by, or just taking in the atmosphere. There are clean restrooms, parking spaces, and the nominal fee is worth the visit.

We visited on Mothers Day 2017 after canoeing around the bay and springs. The beach is small and the swimming area too but it was a great time.

The parking area is small, but if you come very early in the morning, there are spaces and we've seen a couple of cars with trailers carrying kayaks. There are also clean rest rooms, but remember to put money into the kiosk... More
