About
- Temporarily closed Once a limestone quarry, this stunning Mediterranean-inspired swimming pool and complex is now a public oasis complete with waterfalls and grottoes. The pool is fed by fresh spring water and is surrounded by terracotta roof buildings with wrought iron balconies, giving it an old-world charm. It's a great spot to cool off on a hot summer's day—you can swim in the pools (there's a children's pool for kids), sunbathe on the small sandy area, or rent a lounge chair.

A beautiful pool with lots of history. Gorgeous waterfall and crystal blue spring water -- refreshing 77 degrees, which felt amazing on a scorching hot Miami day. You must get tickets in advance if you really want to go. Tip: people without tickets tend to form a stubborn line where you check in. We had to politely work our way around about 100 people lined up on a sold out day. The staff was busy at the entrance and didn't seem interested in managing the line and sending non-ticket holders away. It was a little awkward to pass so many people, but the pool experience was wonderful.

Gorgeous pool with beautiful turquoise water. Our kids loved it. Lots to do and explore. The settings are a bit dated but it adds to the charm.

It was like being on a movie set from the 20's! The weather was perfect for our visit. We went on a Tuesday and found it not too crowded at all. We opted to rent chairs; which there are lots of benches and such, so in the end I might not have. They have a "cafe" which is like a hot dog stand run by teenagers. We enjoyed that the water was fresh and not chlorinated. Once you get all the way in...it really is the perfect temperature. We enjoyed swimming into the waterfalls and playing along the rock walls. So glad I finally got to visit!

Beautiful everything visual took breath away
Too many people, yet very considerate of others. Not familiar with public pool setting. Constant announcements. Appalled by number of people who could not swim. In Florida!
Really horrible. Many repeat customers brought own food. Definitely recommended.
Air! No air. Over 90 & stifled. Bought tickets for 3 days-as non-resident-only attended 1 day. Walked from hotel-Biltmore-that was the best. Neighborhood walking was wonderful. Spent rest of days at hotel pool. At 70, I was dissatisfied.

Arrived at the pool and paid over $80 to get in. 15 mins into our time here a thunder storm came and they closed they pool for over an hour. Then finally they opened the pool again for 20 mins only to close it again. They wouldn’t give us a refund or allow us to use the ticket the next day despite not even using the pool because THEY closed it. Please check the weather before you come here or they will take your money.

This was a really beautiful pool with lots of neat history! Staff and other guests were very friendly. Only downside was that caves were not open to explore when we were there but the waterfall was, which was a neat thing to do! Water was crystal clear and a bit chilly, but that’s all part of the experience!

We had 3 hours of fun in the sun here . The pool is beautiful & well kept. A little cool at first, but we quickly acclimated & enjoyed it as refreshing in the heat. The facilities were easy to use & we're so happy we took advantage of going to this historic place in beautiful Coral Gables! The landscaping was tropical & we enjoyed going into the cave & seeing & hearing the waterfalls. I was a little surprised it was so deep everywhere. I'm 5'5" & could barely touch bottom, so had to swim or tread water when in the pool. We spent a little bit of time in the kiddy pool just sunning. There's can addition charge for lounge chairs. We purchased, but honestly hardly used because we stayed in the pool or sat on the edge. You can rent a locker for $5.

My 8 year old daughter was super excited about visiting the Venetian Pool. We arrived mid-afternoon, several hours before closing, and were shocked and disappointed to see that no more guests would be admitted to the pool due to allegedly full capacity. But we could see clear as day that there were very few people in the pool, and it was really disheartening to be locked out of this type of unique experience.

I'm all for covid safety and reasonable limitations on visitors to allow for social distancing, but this is a MASSIVE pool and I don't think more than 15 or so people were in it. So why not let in some more? Very disappointing and not a good look!

You should go. This you know from the pics and reviews. Here's an info dump to help you plan your visit better...

-you can make reservations online. Website is dated but it's doable.
-$16 for adult non-Coral Gables resident (Feb 2022)
-lots of free parking
-free Wifi onsite. Good signal.
-bring you own towel. If not, I think I read you can buy one for $8
-lockers to rent. $10 deposit for token. You get $5 back end of day
-change room and showers
-lounge chairs $7
-can bring your own food. Picnic tables everywhere.
-canteen onsite. Cheap prices but food kinda greasy (pizza, chicken tenders, etc.)
-blow-up toys allowed but not in the deep end
-free life jackets onsite
-pool ranges from 5 feet to 9 feet deep
-no kids under 3 years old
-close time is a hard out of entire facility not just pool

Lifeguards are very active and alert. Many working at one time.
I THINK you can do a quick walk around for $1 to check the pool out if you have no interest in swimming. See attach pic.

Only bummer for me was there were some "youts" playing music pretty loud on a portable speaker in the sandy beach area. Lame Top 40 from a cheap speaker takes away from the ambience of the place.
