A cruise stop at Port Canaveral, we traveled to Alan Shephard Park. The beach was pretty good, where there are bathrooms and showers. Food and shopping available. We picked up drinks at the nearby 7Elevan. Rented 2 chairs and an umbrella for $30 for the...More

First time we parked our chairs on this part of Cocoa Beach. We usually go down closer to the Pier, but decided to head straight down from our visit at Ron John’s Surf Shop. Nice beach, with a variety of soft and hard sand. Make...More

It's tough to see the beating the coastal businesses and beaches have taken from the past storms. The coastline is ragged, the restaurants are battered and the mood is heavy. I know they will get this repaired but hopefully another storm is not brewing on...More

great beach, great ocean. It's a florida Beach. Good enough. No dogs, clean. We like to buy a sub at Publix then go eat "dinner" at the beach.

We went over today for a day at the beach and assumed that paying $15 to park in this "recreational park" would mean we would get good facilities. The beach was full of building work...huge pipes presumably to be laid along seabed... However the main...More

Not a great beach for young kids - lots of 3-4' waves with strong current, sharp seashell bottom near wave area, and lots of kids (and adults) getting knocked off their feet. This is a great 'beach' beach, but not great if people want to...More

Nice area to enjoy the beach and watch the waves roll in. Find some beautiful seashells. Very few people on the beach on a Thursday morning. More people, lots of families in the afternoon.

Parking was $15. Weather you stay 2 hours or all day. It was an ok beach. There is a bathroom and outside showers. I like the Gulf beaches better.

If you are parking there ($10 a day) you may want to get there by mid morning or before noon. Weekends are more crowded. It’s a big beach so you will have plenty of space. Enjoy!

There is no boardwalk on the beach side in Cape Canaveral or Cocoa Beach. Best place to use a stroller on the beach front is at the Cocoa Beach Peer that takes you over the water. Maybe a little bumpy if the stroller has... More
