We stopped here twice on our Raisin' Cane tour primarily to use the bathrooms. We only had about 15 minutes to view the museum on our final stop. Nice collection of fossils that were found while excavating for a new building. Price of admission was included in our free tour, but I would not normally pay what they want for admission to see the museum.

Warm and welcoming, new director clearly loves his job and in keen to share. This was our third visit to the museum, our main interest is the history of Riddle Field where pilots of the Royal Air Force were trained during WWII. Jason was extremely helpful pulling pictures and other artifacts for us to view. Museum tells the history of the development of Clewiston, the sugar cane and the local Indians and the area Will come back again Entrance fee of $8 dollars per senior is good value.

Small quantity of exhibits. Interesting overview of area. One short film by local corporations. Other short film of historical overview of area. This is the same cost as a great botanical garden. $8 would be more reasonable.

This museum has a good mix of fossils and history of agricultural products sugar and oranges. There is a quick video on the towns history and current agricultural processing. Museum has several write ups on important people in the towns history and important world influences and artifacts of the industries. We missed the sugerland bus tour booked up for the next few days while we are in the area. Be sure to call several days ahead. Also they provided a walking tour guide of historical and interesting architectural homes in the area. Really nice playground to run out the beans across the street and two blocks on.

Spent the day in Clewiston for the Sugar Industry tour known as Raisin Cane and Lake Okeechobee. Much of the tour was organized with the help of the museum. This museum is part of the Chamber of Commerce and has a unique collection of hand painted bird pictures, shells, pre-historic bones found locally and great pictures covering the last 100 years. This is a must see spot in Clewiston.
