With hundreds of things to do on Clearwater Beach, the main attraction is still pretty much its near-perfect beach (USA Today readers voted Clearwater Beach "Best Beach Town in Florida" in 2013). Beautiful white sand and clear, shallow water make this beach an ideal playground for families.

Just a really great beach. The water isn't as "clear" as the name implies, but it's quite good for a Florida beach. But the sand here is what makes the difference. It's one of the widest, sandiest beaches I've ever been on. So much room...More

After a few days in Disney there is nothing better then going to Clearwater Beach for a few days of recovery. The beach is clean, good restaurants what else can you ask for.

Nice beach in the area with true sugary white sand. The water is nice and you can enter without issue. Tons of little spots to make your own area for beach going or you can rent items on the beach for daily use. Dolphins swim...More

I believe it is a very nice place to be. However, because of it being too busy, I would rather go somewhere else.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and we have some cool beaches but nothing compares to the beaches of Clearwater! The white sandy beaches are amazing! If in Clearwater you have to check them out!

There are wonderful hotels, motels, and rentals available. Fantastic restaurants all up and down the beach. Don't miss your opportunity to visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium as well as Pier 60 in the evenings on the weekends for local arts and crafts.

Great beach all within walking distance. We generally travel farther south but availability and prices for this location were so good we decided to give it a try. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful sunsets and tons of restaurants nearby.

The best beach to visit. Traffic sucks but once your settled at the beach they have everything with in walking distance.

legally no but lots of people do it...be discreet and of course no glass containers...just pour your drink in a plastic glass and you are all set!

I have never stayed there but we stayed at pelican pointe which is only an 8 minute walk to the pier and close to everything. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.
