My daughter wanted to see the dolphins Winter and Hope so we made the drive from Orlando to Clearwater. It was a lovely drive, especially route 60 leading into Clearwater. Parking garage is right next to the aquarium and coat $6 for the day. The...More

I went to the Clearwater Marine Acquarium to see Winter and Hope from the movie Dolphin Tale and was not disappointed. I was able to view the dolphins below under water through a glass window and captured some good videos of them. I saw the...More

Getting in we found that we could get our military discount which saved us so much money. Tickets weren't a bad price, but its always nice to get discounts! We had a great visit, got to pet the sting rays, huge tank to see the...More

We spent about two hours here. It wasn't crowded because it was a weekday at 3p. Some parts are inside. It was nice seeing Winter. Money well spent.

We purchased the combo ticket for the aquarium and the boat tour. The aquarium was under remodeling so I wasn't overly impressed. I did enjoy seing Hope doing her show offs. Winter was in a holding tank area so it was kinda difficult to see...More

Good aquarium small but as thy say it's more a rehabilitation place than an actual aquarium. We did not get to see winter but other dolphins, sea turtles, otters, fish, sting rays. Kids had a good time. We spent about 2 hours there.

Had a great time at this aquarium, the water taxi to the movie part is way better than the bus ride.

We visited the aquarium and although i had read reviews it wasnt quite what i expected. It was great to see Winter and Hope but there wasnt anyone talking about them. It seemed mainly focused on the movie as the selling point which is how...More

We appreciate your visit to Clearwater Marine Aquarium very much! Our animal care specialists interact with our resident dolphins at different times throughout the day, so they can pick and choose interaction times that work best for the dolphins. They try to narrate these interactions...More

I expected it to be bigger I suppose. The staff interactions were great and it's a good facility. Hope and winter were great and I love the work they do with the animals to provide the best care for them.More

Thank you for visiting us at Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Chelsea! It's true, at present our facility is still a bit on the small side; our current building is actually a converted wastewater treatment plant, and while it's served us well over the decades, we're thrilled...More

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is the home of Winter the dolphin from "A dolphin's tale" movie. CMA rescues, rehabilitates and releases marine wildlife that are able to return to their natural habitat. The animals that live at CMA are those they cannot return and survive...More

Just wondering what I should be looking for to make my granddaughters experience a good one? We've traveled from Ct to visit my brother but her main thing for coming to Florida for sometime was to see Winter, we've watched the movie so many times, I love it just as much as her, she's 4 and we'll be visiting the Marina on Mothers Day with her great grandmother, her great uncle and uncle, my son coming in from Texas, I'm looking forward to it for my granddaughter.

Perfect. The movie is key to set expectations. Winter doesn't do much but you can feed Hope and get a picture with her. Bring extra money for toys, spend quality time there because they have other things on the schedule that... More
Would you recommend a kayak tour or a Dolphin Adventure Boat Tour?

The dolphin adventure boat tour is a pontoon boat ride. You may see some dolphin fins and jumping at a distance. If you take the little toot dolphin experience that boat goes faster (and is cute) and the dolphins actually... More
I have kids ages 7, 11, and 12 who all are very interested in animal rescue and marine life. I'm wanting to buy tickets for a visit on a Monday in April and am trying to pick the best combo. Is the behind the scenes worthwhile? They will really want to see the hospital. Also which boat tour is the best? There's Dolphin Adventure and Sea Life Safari.

I would recommend the dolphin cruise. The other boat ride I feel is for younger children. Definitely visit the hospital at the marina .. so much to learn and see. I would spring for the extra cost to be able to feed and... More
