After two hours on the beach swimming and sunbathing, we paid an extra parking hour to take a walk. It was getting cloudy so it wasn't that hot.
The path runs by many hotels, cafes, restaurants and beach shops and there's also a small park in the middle.

One of our favorite places to be! White powder sand, clean, well maintained and clear water. On this visit we enjoyed 4 nights walking at sunset, each different and beautiful! One night was watching a thunderstorm with lightning lighting up the shoreline ( from our balcony). Clearwater has great sidewalks and a huge selection of restaurants just a few steps away.

Can be busy but beach is very wide. Parking can also be expensive, has gone up considerable since 2 years ago. Restauants are a bit of a tourist trap. Good for people taking a week in a local hotel but otherwise best avoided during the weekend. Drive over the bridge is very slow. Can take 15 to 20 minutes to get from Clearwater to the Beach

Sunset stroll or shopping trip. Great walk after a good meal. We've gone from one end the other multiple times. Check out pier 60 on weekend evenings for live entertainment or just walk during sunset. Tons of shops and restaurants. Beach is awesome with its talcum type sand.

How can anyone go to Clearwater Beach and not take a beach walk? It is (arguably) THE most beautiful beach in the world....in the USA....in Florida...ok, in the county. No, it really IS beautiful! They keep the sand clean and fresh each day. My wife and I were there Labor Day weekend 2020 and for the most part, most everyone was wearing a mask until they got into the water. Most socially distance themselves in the water. Nice experience complete with a beautiful sunset on Saturday evening (it rained Sunday evening at sunset and we didn't get to see it). Plenty of family activities. There is a nearby park (near Pier 60). Good for families, couples and anyone who enjoys the beach!

Plenty to do, lots to see and plenty of good eateries. It’s also a beautiful walk. Places to eat outside. Masks required at all restaurants until at your table and all servers wore masks. We felt very safe.

Clearwater beach is perfect in every way. It is a very deep area so that it never seems crowded. Umbrellas and beach chairs are available. There are even specialized wheel chairs that can be brought on the beach. It is very clean and well cared for

The sand on Clearwater Beach is almost pure white and very fine. There are no plants to trip through and walk through. You can walk along the beach for a long way and watch dolphins if you hit it at the right time. It is disgusting that people throw their trash on the beach. We are not from Florida but as we walk we pick up trash. Sad people cannot pick up what they bring to beach.

In Clearwater Beach for a 7 day vacation , and asked about what to see first. Everyone said , Beach Walk
you have to experience it while visiting Clearwater Water Beach. Well, they were right, it’s amazing, just a marvel to walk along the beach and experience a ton of Fun
So many different things compared to the
Jersey Shore. Love the Jersey Shore, I have a home there , but there’s nothing to compare Beach Walk to
Just a lot of fun.

Hi everyone. My wife and I are planning a trip to Tampa in late April and we wish to visit Clearwater beach one afternoon (we will not be able to stay in Clearwater). Any tips on the best way to get to the beach from Tampa, whether via car or ferry (if any); if by car when's the best time to avoid traffic (if any time) and best part of the beach to hit and where to park?
Thanks!

The best drive will be to take the Courtney Campbell Causeway from Tampa also called Route 60. Florida Route 60 dead ends at PIER 60 on Clearwater Beach (thus the name). So you would be also driving the Causeway from Clearwater to Clearwater Beach for the last leg of your trip. But, again, spring break traffic can cause back ups on the causeway to the Beach. There are a couple of webcams that show traffic to and on the beach. So, check them out and you can look at the traffic flow and see whether taking the causeway is a good idea. Just do a GOOGLE search for "Clearwater Beach webcam" and you will see several options. In fact, if you do that now, you will get a real good feel for what the best beach in America looks like in real time.

It is more a traffic situation. During tourism season, not just Beach Walk but the entire southern part of the beach area is congested. Basically, bumper to bumper traffic. I don't ride a bike but to me, I would try to avoid peak hours and days when tourists flood the beach. If you want to ride a bike, go to the north end of the beach in the residential area. Tourists don't go there and there is much less traffic.

La plage est gratuite, la valeur à payer dépend des parapluies que vous souhaitez louer ou des activités que vous souhaitez faire. Si vous pouvez prendre vos propres articles pour vous protéger du soleil, beaucoup mieux.

If your looking for a NY atmosphere it would be St Pete but if your looking for laid back, enjoyable, easy and casual it would be Clearwater Beach. I would take Clearwater over St Pete anyway!! It s a great little town......

Is there a public place to see the dolphins in the wild? A public park? Near clearwater beach?
Written 29 January 2017
We go to Johns Pass frequently and along the boardwalk we watch Dolphins playing almost every time we're there. Dolphins use the channel there to travel from Gulf to the Intracoastal waterways. We find that's the best location in the area. Our condo is in Indian Shores, FL. Johns Pass is not far south of Clearwater Beach

Where is the best place to park and walk along the beach?
Written 15 November 2016
If you aren't staying there, the best place to park is a lot at The Pier area. Walking anywhere from there is easy.

Lots to see and do in Orlando and a busy time, go to Clearwater Beach to relax, walk, swim and play volleyball! They were putting in a new child area when we were there too, a large playground that may possibly have an entry fee.

I lived on the beach until recently for years and would bike around Pier 60 around the children's playground, and there was never a fee, just families laughing and enjoying the playground with their kids! Go for it!:)

Is this property across the street from the beach?
Written 17 March 2016
It is a short walk across the road and down the street a bit; there are paved sidewalks too if walking in sand is a problem; you can walk over a mile of beach for sure or more, gorgeous and good location!!
