We took our RV to Manatee Springs State Park and spent 3 nights there. Our campsite was in the Hickory Loop; one of 3 loops at the park. As a couple other reviewers mentioned, this loop has an older shower/restroom and the sewage needs to be looked at. It smells bad and if you're downwind of it, you won't like... More

Our favorite thing about camping in our RV here were the many deer who visited the campsites several times a day. They seemed curious and didn't run away. We also thought the Anderson concession was terrific. Their smoked meat was fall-off-the-bone tender. We also rented a canoe and did a short paddle down the Suwanee. We also did some short... More

Manatee Springs State Park is well taken care of by the park rangers. You will still see Manatees in the park, however the water is warm enough that they venture out. The park has lots of birds and wildlife.

We stayed in out travel trailer site 58. It was a good size, quiet. The daytime temperature was 89 and a tad cooler at night. Best to visit here in February, March. The swim in the springs was divine. The bathrooms were excellent. it was just too warm and the ants were out.

Don't miss going to this lovely state park. Places to camp and bike-very restful and peaceful. Lovely and interesting setting-you must go here if you are in the neighborhood. We just happened to be passing thru and we were so very glad we stopped here.

We had a good day with some swimming in the fresh water. We saw a lot of big fish and even some snakes but we felt safe at this beautiful place . Had a good lunch before leaving.

Problem is, algae has clouded the water so that viewing manatees is problematic. A bit disappointing.

Took the camper her to meet some friends and had a wonderful time. Knowledgeable rangers, friendly and helpful. Park has a terrific BBQ stand. The relaxation is top notch. Great bike trails, and kayaking. Beautiful location. This would be a great place for a day trip if you love the outdoors. There are picnic pavilions and trails for hiking. Swimming.... More

We visited the park on our way home from Orlando. The springs are amazing so cool and crystal clear. We did not see any manatees but i did see a water moccasin in the springs and a gator in the Suwanee River which joins the springs!!! We still swam tho (: We plan on going back to camp and SUP...
