Though very small and limited visiting hours, this a must to learn about how Cape Coral came about. It was interesting to learn how Cape Coral was planned and created by 2 brothers. The volunteer was knowledgeable and pleasant.

New to the area and I wanted to learn all I could about the history of this canal town, seeing it is relatively a young town. There is a video explaining how Cape Coral came about. Then you are free to wander around the museum. A very informative and interesting visit. So glad I decided to stop in! Please note... More

My oldest son loves history and all boys love anything to do with soldiers! We have gone to several veteran's museum. This is one of the greatest that we have gone to. I love how the staff there answered all of our questions. We had a gentleman that walked away around with us and explained to my boys some different... More

Took my 15 yoa grandson. We both totally enjoyed ourselves. Very informaive, if you take the time to look and READ. Only thing we both would have loved if they had something to explain WHY or WHAT brought about each war. Still very enjoyable

We were a bit aprehensive to walk in to the museum. It was quite small and did not grab your interest right away. We were 2 of the 3 visitors that morning. We a were first time visitors, but the other was a life long resident and grandaughter of some of the original home purchasers. We reluctantly agreed to watch... More

This museum is only open a few days a week, and it operates out of the library. The Rosen brothers in the 1950s tried to make the area a mecca for families wanting homes by water and with country club lure. To that end, many canals were built as well as various buildings for social life. The tour starts with... More

If you reside in the Cape and are interested in history, this is entertaining. There isn't much ancient history to a place less than 65 years old, but I found this a good way to spend a rainy afternoon and would recommend taking your children there as well.
