I always enjoy military museums, and this was no exception. It might be small, but it packs a lot in there and its free. We spent 2.5 hours looking at everything and I even bought a hat. We poured through the photo albums and appreciated all the displays.
Being a Vietnam Vet, it brought back memories. If you like military history, I say you must go.

We took family visiting from out of town to the museum on a rainy July afternoon because our nephew is a 10 year old WWII buff. We enjoyed visiting the museum but couldn't help but miss the larger location they used to occupy in the Cape. It's still nice to see they are sharing historical items with the public in a smaller location.

Nicely displayed in sequence of events. My husband served during VietNam and he was touched by the items displayed.

This museum did NOT close! It has moved to Edison Mall! See website www.swflmm .org They have done a great job setting up the displays in their new space, and maybe now mall traffic will bring in even more appreciators of their collection. Really enjoyed the life-size mannequin displays and the smaller dioramas, along with the other displays, and even the items in their gift shop.

Don't bother reading other reviews. The museum is no longer open. It seemss that it closed in early 2020, but the reviews on TripAdvisor make it look like it's still open. It's not.

Great displays of military items. Very knowledgeable staff. Sad to learn that they are severely struggling financially especially considering all they do to help local veterans.

It is a great opportunity to see a piece of the story behind our brave soldiers. Unfortunately there is not enough funding to get the facility in condition for the appearance to be of the standard it should be.

This place isn't a place people will want to visit in Cape Coral, FL. There is a desk that people "could" sit at when you enter, but don't. If you do encounter anybody inside, they walk past you without asking anything. The place reeks of "anyplace USA" Army Surplus garbage and a total lack of caring about the appearance. I live here, I'm an Air Force retiree, and I find it embarrassing.

We took the tour one afternoon and found the place more interesting than we thought it would be. It is well organized chronologically from our earliest wars to the current conflicts. There is so much to see for each time period. You can visualize soldiers conditions on the front lines to the historic significance of the different items displayed. You can set your own pace and ask questions of staff.
