This small nature park is set in a somewhat urban area, but once you get onto the boardwalk, it is a nice shaded stroll through the tangled mangroves. The path winds through a forest/swamp and comes out onto a nice big platform with views of a pretty inlet with boats, and some residential houses as well. We did not see any manatees in the water, only a few small fish. This is a nice easy path to walk and maybe can be stretched to a one hour visit. The park is free.

Also, as you drive into the parking lot on the right, there is a city boardwalk. The boardwalk is along some wetlands in front of a condo complex. This can be enjoyed after the Mangrove Nature Park visit, but is fairly short and not overly exciting.

We had heard of this place but were never there before and found it by chance while walking around Ocean Ave. in Boynton Beach. It is east of Federal Highway (US 1) and just north of Ocean Ave.sitting back somewhat hidden, There is a fairly large parking area and a sign for the park. The park is mainly vegetation, especially mangrove trees, in a wetland that has much water because of the unusual winter rains. A sign warns you walk only on the boardwalk. The steel boardwalk winds its way through the park and takes you out to a serene, beautiful setting along the Intracoastal Waterway, with a deck and benches, to enjoy this wonderful scene, The boardwalk continues around the park to the entrance (where there are restrooms).

A nice short nature walk on steel boardwalk. Definitely kid friendly, especially with a stroller. There was isn't a whole lot to see beside tiny crabs in the muck and mangrove trees, but its nice for a 20 minute walk. Note that the tripadviser map takes you to the wrong place so make sure you google it. Points lost for trash in the nature.

After reading the reviews of this place, we decided to make the drive. I was expecting a nice boardwalk, birds, and beauty. Well, the boardwalk was there, but only a few feet had been built, and t he observation platform at the end offered nothing to see but some grasses, no water, and no wildlife. You can see more stopping along the road on alligator alley than at this place! Looking for other trails proved fruitless, and we had little desire for bush wacking so we left.

We walked along the metal walkway, honestly didn't see much to look at. I think if you like marshy vegetation, you may like this walk, but other than that, the most exciting thing was the tiny crab-like things that escaped through the cracks of the walkway as we approached.

This was certainly worth the price. If you are looking to take a short stroll or kill some time, it's perfect. You may see some aquatic birds and some fish. There is a nice view of the Intercoastal. But it is a fairly short walk. I enjoyed it.

Love to stroll the boardwalk through the Mangrove Trees. Quiet special place-and it is mostly SHADY in the summer!. There is a clearing with a bench overlooking the intercoastal. I belong to a plein air painting group...and at times we paint there

We stumbled on this little park by accident and enjoyed the walk very much, although because it is a little secluded I would be sure not to walk alone.

Quite literally a dump! I was visiting my parents & we were looking for something to do. I read the rave reviews of this park here & we decided to give it a go. It started off nice enough, small parking lot but thankfully it was empty (I should have taken it as a clue). It looked beautiful as you start down the walkway, then that's about where the goodness ends. I have never seen more trash in a "nature" park in all my life. Tires, water bottles, those big 5 gallon buckets (saw about 4 of those) & coolers...yes coolers!! I'm sure when the tide is in it looks great because the water covers all the litter & pollution! That makes me cringe for the environments sake. If this place was cleaned up, I bet it would be nice. Save your effort & time, go somewhere else. I know I'm never going back.
