It was a decent trail, mostly shaded, which was nice, but I did take off a point because the trail wasn’t clearly marked so we weren’t sure which way to go a few times. We had to pull up the all trails app to figure out which way was correct. It is a loop trail so I liked not having to backtrack. There was a sign that said dogs are allowed on leashes. We didn’t see anyone else on the trail. It was very tropical & natural looking with a shell lined path through most of it, then it turned into a dirt path. We saw one animal on it- a black snake.

Today was my first venture checking out Cullum’s Trail in Bonita Springs. I was excited that the trail ran next to the Imperial River. Not knowing what to expect, the Imperial River in this area looked like a creek. The trail could be so much nicer if it looked like it wasn't neglected! Bonita Springs is a nice community, and the county should do more maintenance and upkeep on this trail. I did not see one trail directional sign. There were signs for keeping dogs on a leash. Being solo, a hiker could get frustrated and nervous not knowing which route to take at the forks in the road!
The park was located in a peaceful area with plenty of parking.

About two miles from the center of Bonita Springs, down a road that most people would drive by, is a newly established trail along the banks of the Imperial River. Cullum's Bonita Trail is located at the Bonita Nature Place. The trail has a few different routes and is flexible in length. The trail is made up of packed shells, and there are boardwalks over low lying areas. There are a few benches along the way where you can sit and relax and enjoy your surroundings. The trail runs along the Imperial River with views of native Florida flora and fauna. There is also a canoe and kayak launch. The trail is a labor of love by a local resident, Cullum Hasty, a nature lover who helped make this trail a reality. The trail is easily doable with small children but not totally stroller or wheelchair friendly. Once you turn onto Kent Road, you drive past Bonita Nature Park's main entrance to the parking lot for Cullum's trail. There is no fee for parking or entry to the trail. It is a very pleasant walk, and a place to which I will definitely return.

After traveling around Bonita Springs via GPS and asking two different folks from Bonita Springs we abandoned our quest. Either person had ever heard of Cullums trail or Kent Road. Perhaps someone could do a better job with this website to make it easier to find this so called unspoken gem! Clearly there’s such a place there’s plenty of reviews just this address doesn’t exist.

This is a little off the beaten trail, but a great nature trail to explore. It is definitely not on the usual tourist route. Locals mostly know about it. There are several trails to explore, a beautiful creek, turtle habitat, butterfly garden, and so much more. During rainy season (June through September) bring the bug spray. This time of year, it's wonderful. The water level is very low right now, so kayaking is really not a good idea. Watch the ground for the many animal tracks, very interesting. And it's FREE!

This is a great walk but the map placement is wrong, go further down the road to the actual walk and long trails to the river
The map marker in TripAdvisor is up the road from the trail. There is a walk but not good at this site

Amazing walk in the woods today! This is a combination of dirt, shell and roots. Pay attention to where you walk and it’s a great walk. Be careful in wet season since it floods. I wouldn’t plan on hiking here, certainly not in wet season. Otherwise, a hidden gem

Nice trail along riverside. Understand Irma hurt it quite a bit but should come back. Fellow walker said there are plans to eventually extend trail under highway 75 to old route 41.No charge is a nice plus also.

This was hit by Irma and forgotten. The trail is short, about a mile, and mostly covered with shells. The Imperial river along the trail is more like a creek. This park badly needs TLC.

My son and I had a wonderful time. I can't believe we didn't know it was there when it's only 5 minutes away!
