Friday, June 10 2022. I Walked in the back entrance to have lunch at about 1:45 pm. I followed a couple with a small pup. We both sat down at the same time. There was another party already seated, two women who were not eating just talking. The server an elderly lady with a name tag "pam" took the couple's order who was ahead of me. Then "pam" the server came over to me and I expressed concern that I started coming back for lunch in March 2022 after sometime of not coming here and I was happy with it the food renovations, etc the food was very very good. I told "pam" I was here last week and you were very friendly and took my order at the counter unlike this time. I told her the food most likely the bacon caused me to have indigestion and instead of registering a complaint at the moment I was so hungry I ate. Now I am back again and can you recommend something fresh. I did not like her recommendations and order eggs easy over and sausage and home fries. The designer sausage called Niman Ranch on their menu was peculiar as it was not a link but round. I buy this sausage from Whole Foods and never saw it round. The eggs were over cooked not over easy. Maybe Shanghri-La removes the castings from the sausage I thought. Anyways it was not tastily. Now after being served my food in less than five minutes, "pam" appears with to go boxes for me to take the food and leave as she said kitchen closed it is already 2:07 pm. I didn't like the food again and ate a pieces of fruit. I left the eggs, sausage and baguette which was buttered and toasted. I like fresh baguette or the bread from March 202. Not this bread. Pam stared me down with anger and then explained explained her chores taking off tables clothes etc. What was odd is that pam only approached me to shuffle outta Shangri-La. She said nothing to the couple who preceding me entering in at the same or the other two women. I observed this carefully ...How rude was pam? then she put the book like bill on my table so I paid immediately... cash $23.xx I debated over stiffing her of a tip. however I left $3.00. Still pam did not speak to the other two tables like she spoke to me. I then decided this place is not for me and left. It was about 2:30 pm both other tables of two remained. I called on Monday to registered this complaint but the sweet girl who took my call the hotel receptionist said Lee the manager was not in and that she would tell the lady in charge of dinning the issue. No one called.

Gail, This is Lee, General Manager of Shangri-la Springs. I am so sorry to hear of your displeasure with your dining experience. When you called, you spoke to our front desk manager KIrsten. She took notes of your conversation and relayed them to me. However, she did not say that you needed a call back. I am sorry for that. I would also like to assure you that your challenges were addressed. If I can be of any further service, please contact me at 239-949-0749. Thank you. Lee

Recently renovated historical property built in 1921; boutique inn; lush grounds; very quaint and quiet in a residential area. The restaurant wasn’t open when I was there. The inn was very clean, comfortable; French doors leading to small private terrace. Adequate for a short stay; not a lot of restaurants within walking distance so a car is necessary. No hustle and bustle. Great property to kick back and relax.

Quiet and quaint- great service and fresh, natural and many organic choices! The lamb was delicious as was the organic grilled chicken over mixed greens in a honey vinegar eye! We’ve also been for a late breakfast and their organic eggs with a side of fruit, chiabatta toast and bacon were great but the homemade quiche is outstanding )it is about 3” high)
Tried to get the recipe but couldn’t! It is a definite must and one of our favorites . Also outside back deck to dine at!

Our women's group arranged a tour of this original Bonita Springs location, at Shangri-La Springs, now a spa and restaurant, with educational programs. The facility and grounds were beautifully renovated, having been built in the 1930's. Fine art adorns the interior rooms and the gift shop is very cleverly organized with original arts, jewelry, shells and much more. If you plan a tour of the beautiful grounds and facility in summer, bring a UV umbrella and some water. It gets very hot outside while wandering around in the sun, but it is interesting and worthwhile. After the tour, we all met inside for a pre-arranged lunch. Reservations are essential at any time of year. We enjoyed a variety of salads including chicken, salmon and veggie. The herbal tea was so refreshing after the tour in the heat, and Stevia was a provided and appreciated sweetener. The luncheon desserts were tasty but not too sweet, nor portions too big. All in all, a really nice day at Shangri-La Springs.

We came to Shangdi-la with some friends for a tour plus lunch. The history of the resort was quite enlightening and our docent was excellent, providing us with a helpful narrative and interesting stories. I am sorry that we could not say the same thief about lunch. The farm-to-table entrees were limited to combo-ticket holders and the meal was just fair. So was the the service. I believe that the program was overpriced. Good locale for history buffs, not for foodies.

Hi Michele, We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your dinner experience. Your feedback is surprising to us since in October you left a review sharing how much you enjoyed your lunch at Harvest & Wisdom. Our commitment to using the highest quality organic ingredients is reflected in our pricing and we realize that our portion sizes and pricing are not what many diners are accustomed to. However, it is our goal to introduce and familiarize guests with the benefits of this. As a second-time diner with us, we hope you understand and share our respect for the environment and commitment to using all-organic ingredients that we locally source when possible. Because of this, our portions are sized to allow guests the ability to have a 5-course or 7-course meal and feel nourished and satisfied without waste. This also allows you to sample a variety of seasonal indulgences. That being said, you should never wait for an unreasonable time period for your meal. We would like to learn more about your experience and how we can make it right. Please call 239-949-0749 and ask to speak to Lee Bellamy, General Manager.

Took my guests for lunch and it was awful. Ordered a turkey sandwich which was a glob between 2 pieces of thinly sliced bread. It wasn't even sliced. There's no way I could pick it up and eat it. My guests ordered chicken sand which which was dried out. No beet salad and no soup of the day. We were so looking forward to visit but what a disappointment. Visit the grounds but don't eat there
