Great place for a multi-generational family walk surrounded by the pretty scenery. It is actually a historic community park which sits on the Imperial River..
The band shell hosts variety of community events . We were not lucky to stumble upon one of those many concerts and movies but one can look up the calendar of events on line.
Lovely green space.

Charming, low key, a feeling of old florida. With a band shell for concerts during the cooler months, and a dock along the river where you can take in the water views and perhaps catch a glimpse of a manatee…..and the artist cottages, kayak rental……great place.

A people's park, alongside the main street of Bonita Springs... many activities take place her. Concerts at the Band Shell; Artists in residence in the park and also a boat landing on the Imperial river for launching boats, There is a Kayak rental place close to the river.....another part of rustic old Florida in the upper reaches of the Imperial River.

I love this area because it reminds me of the way old Florida was. Has a lot of huge trees with a fabulous banyon tree. Nice walking area by the Imperial River where you can rent kayaks and take off. Very relaxed atmosphere, with clean facilities for your use. Wish it was utilized a little more, but never crowded and quiet...nice. Wednesday the Farmer's Market is there...not real big, but sufficient. Grab a cup of coffee and take a nice walk...cross the tracks and check out the Lion's Club resale shop...always a treasure to be found.

Riverside Park in Bonita Springs has a bandshell and facilities (parking, restrooms, grassy lawnchair seating) that provided live jazz by the Stardust Memories Big Band with great sound and lighting that matches the best in southwest Florida.

Sunday Church Services are held in the Park where attendees take their own chair, have coffee and doughnuts rain or shine. It's nice to worship in a park enjoying nature!

There are lots of events (many free) at Riverside Park throughout the year with plenty of free parking. We particularly enjoy Concerts in the Park on Sunday afternoons (usually once a month). Bring chairs and enjoy the performances. There is also kayak rentals and a small playground in the back for kids. Best to check the local papers for a list of events.

This is just a pleasant place to just stroll through or have a picnic. It is right on the river & the entire area has just had a makeover that has really beautified the downtown area. There are kayaks & bikes for rent, and the town has many musical events in the park bandshell along with other festivals held there with beer, wine & food vendors. Bathrooms are available & the parking is free & convenient.

Sorry not sure about concerts. You can look it up on their website. I do know there is a big art show first week of March. Beyond that not sure.

Hi! I am new in the area. Do we have to pay to use the park? Can I launch a motorized kayak (electric) and what is the cost of doing so?
Written 30 May 2015
Great little, peaceful park. No charge to be there, and no charge to launch a kayak at the little pier they have there. Make yourself at home :-).
