The beach is quiet, beautiful beach, many shells, but during our stay they had a red tide algae bloom so the water was reddish and dead fish were all over the beach :( You were not able to get in the water. It didn't clear...More

This is one of the only beaches I will visit in SW Florida. Yes it costs a bit to get out onto Boca but this beach is one of the best available without having a boat. Beautiful white sand, great beach parks with plenty of...More

We love Boca Grande and my wife enjoys the shelling at the south end by the light house at Gasparilla Island Sate Park. It's a beautiful island and I'm a charter guide fly fishing for tarpon or fishing snook and reds on light tackle in...More

Red tide can change from day to day depending on which direction the winds are blowing. Please check the Mote Marine website as they monitor the beaches.

I was there last week and there were no issues. I think north in Sarasota there have been issues but the water was fine in Boca last week.
