I was there with my 7 year old grand-daughter and though I found it to be an interesting place with so many different types of "artworks", she was somewhat "bored". I ended up making up a "game" to make the experience more interesting. I was...More

Beautiful grounds and galleries. Interesting collection and definitely worth the trip. I probably wouldn't have gone on my own (partly because there is so much to see and do in the general area) but due to a friend's wedding I was there. Not disappointed at...More

This smaller museum has one of the countries finest Pre-Raphaelites painting collections: breathtaking. Add the countries finest illustrators , a fine contemporary collection, regular shows and a good café. Hard to beat. Discounts for seniors and students. Free on sight parking, A must see attraction.

This has the best exhibition of both in the country Pyle being a native son of Wilmington and other illustrators as well. Didn't realize that I knew Pyle's work until I cam across the pirate piece "Marooned" which I realized had been used in a...More

This art museum does a great job of both blending in (it's situated in an amazingly beautiful residential neighborhood) and standing out (largest collection of pre-raphaelite art outside of europe, as well as revolving, thoughtful exhibits). There's also a lovely outside sculpture garden. Lot's of...More
