This is definitely a very unique museum. We'd seen a similar style museum before, but not all gophers, and we despised it. But I still felt we had to check this one out. And for only $2/person (cash only), it's definitely a fair price. So...More

We took a trip to this small little town just for the museum. A trip worth taking. While the museum is not big, it is fantastic. The displays are extremely well done with such small details. The couple running the place were friendly. The gift...More

A well detailed taxidermy displays of Alberta's pesty rodents. My favorite exhibit was the firefighter one. Totally worth the 3 hr drive! It only costed $2. I thought maybe there was more to the museum. The gift store consisted of homemade items, and T-shirts.

This place was fantastic. We had searched for some unique things to do while visiting Calgary and this popped up. The bright yellow fields of canola made for a nice drive. It was a bit out of the way for us, but I am so...More

By far the most interesting thing about Torrington. Well worth a detour from the highway if you are passing Olds. In the museum you'll find 75+ stuffed gophers, dressed up i small dioramas. The giftshop offer high quality knitted clothes for small children.
