New Castle is a living historic city and Immanuel is the heart of this area. Beautiful historic church with a cemetery that is unbelievable. Walking among the graves focuses your mind on history as few sites can. Man settlers born before 1700 to WW II veterans are buried in the church yard. Nothing like an old cemetery to make our... The cemetery in this church is jam-packed with American history. Everything from founding fathers to state Governors to Civil War veterans to Irish immigrants. Worth more than a few minutes.

Stopped here on the Christmas tour and joined in on an old fashioned Hymn sing. The church was very welcoming!

Immanuel Episcopal Church on the Green is a beautiful historic church in the center of Old New Castle; a small colonial rooted city rich with history, period correct architecture, and atmosphere. Immanuel ' s congregation is very warm and open to receiving of visitors. The sermon is centered on daily life and thought provoking with an element of humor.

Recently I attended a service at the Immanuel Episcopal Church in New Castle. The sanctuary looked very authentic as it may have been centuries ago. This church has one of the oldest cemeteries in the area. The message that we heard was very thoughtful and interesting.

The core of the building was dates to 1603 with a major addition in the 1820's. The interior is simple, harmonious, and peaceful. It has an active congregation and the building is open from 9 to 5 daily.

This church is still in use. The church building was open to the public on a Monday so we went in to look around. No one was there at that moment but we were glad we had gone on ahead inside. The old fashioned, closed pews with wooden railing were in wonderful shape, as was everything in there. The building... More
