Have been going here a few times/year for many, many years. The main loop is now almost 100% paved with dedicated bike paths (although some people walk their dogs in them). Nice loop (maybe 4+ miles and can easily repeat without getting bored).

One of the best things about West Hartford! According to a staff person, bring a walking stick and repellant!

Great to walk, run or bike on the paved trails. There are dirt trails too, if desired. Escape here from the daily grind and let nature recenter you.

Wide paved lanes, relatively flat for easy strolling or cycling. Convenient for walking off a few calories from nearby restaurants. Porta potties but in respectable condition.

It is usually open to sunset. But I would recommend checking by going to website for the Connecticut Metropolitan water district. This site gives trail maps and phone number you can call.

I agree..there should be some maps! I stay on the bike marked trail. It took me completely around. I can.t say how long it took because we stopped at the picnic tables by the reservoir and had a picnic lunch.
