The bay of Alimia, located on Iraklia's southwestern coast, hosts two sandy beaches that are accessible only by boat. The beach is known for the wreckage of a sunken WWII aircraft, at a depth of about 9metres.

We visited with the boat Anemos and had a great time. Wonderful beach, crystal clear water. Take some water and fruit and find some shade!

Nice beach. Don't expect to be alone as there are yachts and a sea-bus from Agios Giorgios. There are 3 trees so can get some shade (if you get there soon enough). Snorkel: fine but I saw more fishes at Livadi. There is also this...More
