West Corwall has not changed in 300 years. One of the last covered bridges in Connecticut. Worth a 2-3 hour detour from Manhattan.

It's easy to imagine life in the past looking at and crossing this historical remnant of the past. It's a lovely setting and while there isn't much "to do" there, it's still fun to take a moment in a pretty part of Connecticut to enjoy...More

Stopped by West Cornwall after hiking in the area. Love the little center of town. The covered bridge is a beauty. We drove right through and took many photos.

Great views, really nice river running through it - and on the other side is the Wandering Moose Cafe. Up the road a short bit is The Little Guild of St.Francis where you can do a good deed and walk or play with a dog...More
