A welcoming entryway with old street signs and a photo essay of the mix of cultures that brought the city of Norwalk to its current fusion status make this special. Interesting artifacts and a pleasantly jampacked gift shop!

We popped into the museum while touring around the historic south norwalk streets with family from ireland. The art docent had put the oyster exhibit together, taught us what all the different tools were used for and explained all the oyster farms still in operation!

We enjoyed our visit here. Good place to go when you don't have all day, and the surrounding neighborhoods have plenty of excellent restaurants to check out after the Museum. The kids really like this place!

I was in Norwalk 2 weeks ago and parked in front of this Museum. I walked up the steps and the door was locked. I did not see any Museum or signs to enter Museum. The bottom floor had offices with people working there. Disappointed with that yes the SoNO Museum was also closed that at least had a sign on it.

Just around the corner from SONO and the aquarium in Norwalk Ct . It was the old town hall that has been converted . Not open every day but free to enter . Spread over several floors it gives you an insight into days gone by . Not a stuffy old museum . Plenty of good places to eat , stores to wander through and near a park and water . You can make an entire weekend out of your visit as there is much to do in the area . Wheelchair access on side entrance and elevators inside . Never crowed .

It used to be a wonderful local museum. If n my recent visit I was sad to see it was no longer there and the building was for sale
