The ever changing assortment of retail specialty stores and restaurants make SoNo interesting. We do a little shopping for things we don't need and then have lunch at one of the many good restaurants on Washington Ave. or Water Street.

My wife and I live in midtown Manhattan, but I work in Fairfield County. I needed to find a small apartment closer to my office, during the week days. I found a place in South Norwalk and I am very impressed with the SoNo development. The restaurants are very very good; the food/menu's are just as good as NYC and... More

SoNo district is sort of small, but packed with several restaurants catering to all taste. Basically, it's two streets, so you won't have problems in covering the area.

Great area for dining! No matter what kind of food you're looking for, there probably a restaurant that serves it. I haven't had a bad meal in SONO ever!

A super place to take a stroll, window shop, have lunch or dinner. A great vibe. Part modern part historic...worth a trip! Evening visits with music, a variety of menus and libations. Enjoy SONO!

The good thing about the district is that it's near the aquarium, about a block or two away. There is a big parking deck across from the aquarium and other parking lots around the area, so parking isn't bad during the daytime. We had a very nice meal in a rather plain lunch place, but I can't say that any... More

I have followed the revitalization of SoNo since the beginning. At its height, it was a vibrant diverse commercial district with a mixture of shops, galleries, and eating places. It is now almost entirely eating and drinking spots catering to a younger demographic tha. I currently inhabit. It was disappointing.

Spent an afternoon walking up and down Washington Street in South Norwalk and window shopping So lovely and so different from what it was like years ago. I would recommend everyone spend some time exploring the area. There are some very nice restaurants and shops. A great place to visit. And the Maritime Aquarium is also close by.
