Nice decor, a huge wine selection. Service was not great, it wasn't even crowded that night. The bartender is knowledgeable but very rude and if you aren't a wine aficionado he will talk down to you. We waited over a half hour for service, only had drinks no dinner, I guess if you we're one of the twenty something year old girls at the bar you got good service. Perhaps because it's new they might still be working the bugs out of the system but I wouldn't recommend or return there myself.
There are many other choices in downtown mystic for drinks and dinner.

Finding a rehearsal dinner spot in Mystic was difficult but I am so happy one of the nearby hotels recommended we check out Frizzante. I didn't want the traditional seated rehearsal dinner. I wanted people to be able to mingle, stand up, eat what they wanted and when they wanted to. Frizzante exceeded every one of these prerequisites. Kyle and his staff were incredibly helpful during the planning process. A tapas style rehearsal dinner provided everything I had hoped for and our guests still talk about it to this day. The food was absolutely amazing as was the wine and atmosphere. My husband and I were so impressed with the entire experience and cannot recommend Frizzante enough!

My husband and I visited Frizzante for brunch on Sunday while on our anniversary trip. They offer a bottomless make-your-own-mimosa bar from 12-2 pm. They had a really amazing selection of freshly squeezed juices and fruits. My favorite was a combination of their strawberry and mixed berry juices. Delicious!

The staff at Frizzante was great. My husband is not a wine drinker, and Kyle helped him choose a glass that he enjoyed. They have an extensive wine list, and we loved flipping through it on their tablet menus so we could read tasting notes about each bottle. The food was also great. They offer tapas as well as meat and cheese boards that taste just as good as they look.

This is a really cool place that's perfect for couples looking for a romantic date night or family and friends who want to catch up over some wine and excellent food. If we lived in the area, I know we would be regulars!

Stopped by to check out the place on a rainy Sunday afternoon! Cozy atmosphere, great selection of wines and wonderful selection of tapas. Looking forward to wine class Wednesdays! Kyle and Bobby were welcoming and well informed.

Frizzante's is a hidden gem of Mystic. Located in the lower level of the Mystic Art Center and off street level, this small and quaint wine bar offers over 120 wine selections, champagne and mimosa bar and the most unique experience I've ever had at a wine bar. Each table has a tablet where you can research and select your wines from all over the world as well as view their tapas style menu with photos. Our server was very knowledgable and friendly. You can spend hours here enjoying wine in a small, initimate atmosphere. Highly Recommended.

My husband and I went to this wine bar for the first time with some friends. It was fabulous. We got there around 3:30 and it wasn't crowded. They also have a couple tables outside you can sit at. We did wine flights which were wonderful. The tapas are $5 each and they were delicious. They will give you a taste of any wine on the list to try. If you like wine and are in the area, this is the place to go.

On our way to Newport, R.I., we stopped in Mystic, CT and visited a shopping area in which we happened to visit Frizzante Champagne & Wine Bar. The store was set up with multiple tasting areas for olive oil and vinegar and the individuals who worked there were incredibly friendly and helpful. After sampling many different types of vinegar, I decided to buy the sweet cherry. At this time, the woman behind the counter mixed some of the sweet cherry vinegar with infused mesquite oil, which was an incredibly flavorful mixture. I can't wait to use this as a marinade for chicken breasts on the grill as I'm sure it will be awesome.

My aunt read an article in the Westerly Sun last March about a Wine Bar opening in her area. I didn't pay much attention because many places claim they are a "wine bar". I haven't found anything impressive with the exception of the Wine Bar in Winter Park, Florida that has the dispensers and over 100 bottles to chose from. Frizzante impressed me A LOT. My aunt and I went in on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I had looked up the place online and knew we would do a custom "flight" of wine. This was the first aspect I enjoyed about Frizzante. Most place allow you to do a flight, but they choose the wine for you. Here you can choose your own and that we did. The server allowed us to look at every bottle and was very patient with us. When we finally made our decision, three wines each that we both sipped off of, the manager and another server stopped over and gave their descriptions and information on each wine we tried. We were doted on! We were even given a few other tastes gratis as we conversed with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. We each chose to have a glass of our favorites and my husband joined us for one as well. Frizzante has a small bar, about six seats, that we sat at. There is a large farmers table for larger parties to enjoy and a few comfy alcoved couches. There are light tapas available to enjoy with your wines as well. It wasn't busy when we arrived but things had picked up by the time we were finished, a relief to me because I really want them to be successful so I can make many trips back. Check the website for times because they mentioned something about closing for a brief period while they open a second location in Mystic, CT. Cheers to Frizzante! PS a very pretty bathroom.
