I have frequented the Garde on several occasions to view their musicals and plays. The performances have always been of exceptional quality. The theater itself is a beautiful building, tastefully restored. Most parking is on the street so plan accordingly. They serve light snacks and...More

Went here to watch the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra. Seats were great and the sound/acoustics were great. The inside of the theatre is decorated very nicely and the details are worth looking at while waiting for you to be seated. Be sure to look at...More

The Garde Arts Center is an absolute gem. We have seen wonderful live adult and family entertainment (plays, music, comedians, to name a few) as well as movies. Do yourself a favor and go!

Imagine having a full orchestra in your living room. That's what an intimate performance is like at the Garde Arts Center. This little treasure might not have the acoustics of Carnegie Hall, but it has lots of heart and history. Whatever you desire from Opera,...More

We went to see nut cracker while we were there. The theater was large and roomy. The seats were comfortable. The performance was great. The only negative thing was there is not enough parking, and had quite the walk to get back to the theater.

The Garde has a gorgeous lobby, unlike anything I have seen a s ornate as The Bushnell in Hartford but with a Mediteranian feel. Seeing any type of performance there is enhanced by your surroundings and by a nice lobby bar - recommend highly!

We bought a film festival ticket to the movies. We have been going for several years, but prices jumped by more than 50% this year. It used to be great, and now it's just expensive .

Besides being the home of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra (always an evening to remember), the Garde's theater offerings are varied and very enjoyable. My new favorite is to see a movie at the Garde. The series they offer with Academy Award nominees is fantastic...More

We attended as a couple but there are many shows for younger children and teens. The Garde has series available for sale at a slightly reduced rate. Seating is comfortable, and all seats have a decent view of the stage. In the past we've seen...More
